First of all, I just want to say Hi
Then again I doubt anyone will come and read my thread lol
But anyway, I studied English since I was in elementary school, then I went to the US and finished my school there. That's how I know English.
Now onto Japanese, Let's just say I went to Tokyo, Japan and studied at a Japanese language school there for 1.5 years.

anyway, Yoroshiku!

But your ToD translations are great though? Any other series you're doing for Rena? *curious*

Mind if I ask a couple of questions? How hard was it learning Japanese? (I'm planning to learn Japanese soon) And what was Japan like?

@BDR - It's Love Rob Stockholm.

Thanks. I swear I'm really horrible with series names unless I'm translating them >_<.

I'd like to know how long Expel-san's been learning Japanese myself....and to you deathbyrock, Its not hard if you put effort into it...(and really have a strong desire to learn.) ^^

@BDR- It's actually my dream to go to Japan, so I have a pretty strong desire to learn the language asap. Too bad there aren't that much Japanese language teaching schools and such these days.

Well it takes a lot of practice and like BDR said, put a lot of effort into it. In my experience, just do not think it is hard before you even begin, just try it and see for yourself if it is hard for you lol. In my case, It's obviously different from the people who study at their school/university, since I studied it in Japan. The surroundings forced me to speak Japanese, and see Japanese words every single day. Even now, when I'm back at my own country, I'm still learning Japanese (there are lots of Kanji's that I still don't know yet) and still practicing it everyday by translating, playing Japanese games so I won't forget what I've studied.

I'm always thinking that it's easy, but as you said, I got to go see it for myself. I'll surely take it when I get to college but that's not gonna happen soon. I wanna learn Japanese so I can read mangas, play eroges japanese games and all that~ But considering the fact that you only took one and a half year studying Japanese, you're really good when it comes to translating. Well, about the series-es you picked up, what will you most likely continue to translate? And what other series-es might you pick up?

Wow! That's awesome! I've been itching to get to Japan, but lack of funds keeps me from doing so. You've been learning for a year and a half huh? Thats pretty good, especially since you were in the country itself. (Much better than teaching yourself using translation like some people *like me.*) In any case, its a process that never really ends..so keep right on truckin'.

Yes, eroges does include in Japanese games category lol
Hm, obviously what my group wants me to translate :p, other than that, I dunno yet...

To Ju-da-su: Yeah 1.5 years of awesomeness XD .come on!!, someone need to revive Ju-da-su's thread!!! I never thought my thread would get any reply actually, so I guess I need to thank you Ju-da-su, since you "randomly barged in", 2 other guys started to follow you :D

BDR: yeah, living cost in Japan is also very expensive, luckily the language school did allow me to get an Arubaito(part time job :p) so it helped a liitte lol.

Oh so you were in a language school? How did you go about getting that set up? Would you recommend it to others? And other than the obvious watching anime and reading manga, what kinds of things would you recommend doing in one's free time while in Japan? (As you can tell I really really want to go...)

Looking forward to more of your translations. ^^ And I wish someone would come visit my thread, it's easier to fight dust bunnies when you aren't doing it alone. :-P

Ah, I hope you continue translating new series-es though (Also hoping that you will continue translating Love Rob Stockholm.) You're helping the manga community a lot. I'll keep on a look out to your later releases and proofread them if you don't mind (even though I'm not a qualified proofreader.) Thanks for all of your hard work and contributions for the manga society~ Oh, and yes, eroges do.

Yeah, I was in a language school. I actually found that school on the internet and applied by sending them application and such to them. The school's name is Meros language school, it's in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. When I was in Japan, I spent my off time with my friends (mostly foreigners who works there, I know them from online gaming, yes I'm a gamer). We did LAN HALO party lol, strolling like an otaku at Akihabara XD, went to ski resort (I didn't try skiing tho, only "accompany" them :eyeroll) and went to events such as the TGS (yep, it's the Tokyo Game Show! that was an awesome experience lol)
