*I would have taken a pic if I knew where the camera was >_>*

Anyway here's the story. I bought a brand new manga and after reading it, I discovered that some of the pages were really curved and freaky when they were previously straight-ish.

Perhaps this would be easier to visualise: Usually, after reading a brand new book, the pages become only a little bit crooked, somewhat like a slight "S" or "U" shape if you look from the side. In my case, the pages had curves which were very big and obvious.

Does this happen to your manga?

It hasn't happened to me yet, though I posess very few tankoubons.

What was the publisher of your manga? That would help to decide if it's a good publisher or not.

Also, what manga was it?

Bakuman Vol 2 by Tong Li (Traditional Chinese publisher). Volume 1 is fine. I've a few tankobons by Tong Li and I kinda like the quality cuz the pages are thick and smooth. (O_O) However, a couple of tanks from my collection has this problem too but most of them are fine.

I'm guessing this problem is just a minority but I just don't know the reason for it.

Happens to me after I microwave them in order to debind them. However only in the scans of them, because of the lack of water the paper warps. Not the actual ink.

Might be the publisher's fault or something... The manufacturer. The Japanese ones don't do that.

yup...it's the problem with moisture in the air....or the manga itself...
i always reseal my manga back in plastic bags after reading them...
keeps the moisture...thus bending + MOLD out of the equation~~

I allways keep my mangas and comics in a closed shelf to make shure they don't get humidity and from time to time I open it to let them breath so nothing like that hapened to them.
