I don't know if anyone here has seen this. It's a interview with the author of Ubel Blatt, Etorouji Shiono from sometime back in 08.

The site is in French as well as the interview. If someone wants to translate into English, that'd be great. For those that can't read French, use an on-line web-site translator ( which was what I used ).

Anyway, the author answers some interesting questions.

Someone mentioned before that the mangaka is taking an undisclosed time break. Apparently the message was posted on the authors blog.

Since then no new raw's have surfaced, so its on a break for now.

Read chapter 85 today. Koinzell is on his way to kill Lebront. Ikfes is already there, a prospect of rematch. It will be a much tougher competition as compare to their past encounter.

Well, to say he is outnumbered is a understatement. Also I'm glad we got another chapter after 4 years. Hopefully things will come-out quicker.

Its also such a shame to see Lebllonts (sp) children being no better than him.

Looking at the way the military might is stacking up against Koinzell makes me hope that there will be a "rebirth" of the heroes under his leadership.

I think it's only a matter of time till Elsarea and her group decide to follow him. Then there's Glenn's handpicked elites "the knights of the 7 lances", they are powerful warriors and they don't seem to hold the other heroes in high regard. What happens if they find out whole truth?

The prophecy seemed to indicate Koinzell was destined to become a hero again? If he does Glenn has left behind the raw materials for him make himself one hell of cool little army.

True. I have to admit I didn't see that one coming though.
I enjoyed the dialogue in the chapter, after wondering what they were talking about in the raws for so long. It was an interesting take or approach from the mangaka side.

Having said that, It seems the monster is familiar with the Koinzel's elven race.

Yeah thats true. As mentioned on our site, we can translate it only up to ch90 (french volumes are until 92). So, we need a jap translator for the following chapters.

Im glad u enjoyed the dialogue. To be frank, it was a pain phrasing it and doing the fonts that way. You could say that the release would've been half a day sooner if it wasnt for that.
We've been trying to fit the dialogue into the context and to match it with the characters. I admit, some parts sounded too informal/urban, but mostly, i believe we did good.

By the way this manga is leading up, it looks like it will be like vinland. You guys see all that we've been though? I can imagine the mangaka coming and saying this was all a prologue :/

BTW, this is speculation. So, dont take it as concrete information, but the plot does point that way. For example, take how he barely spoke about the previous war invader. They will get involved again most likely.

I was actually thinking the same thing. The 7 A-holes are bound to become more and more desperate as he gets closer to snuffing them all.

Maybe one of them will do something crazy like seeking help from Wischtech or maybe some of them have been dealing with them all along. War with Wischtech round 2. This whole thing with the heroes could just be the beginning.

As for the king of the forest, i find that a little confusing but perhaps it will become relevant later. Koinzell was cut down in an magical forest after all, maybe some "king of the forest" was involved in him getting the form he now inhabits.

Turns out there is more about the origins of the king in v.10 specials. Actually, there's a whole lot of ubel universe info in the various volumes specials!! We'll get around to Editing vol.10 specials when we're done with it. And if you cant wait, go to Ubel Blatt French Fan Site for more info on this. They got them posted as well as some other cool interesting stuff !
