The spinoff thing's a cool idea. Since a lot of the mangas don't show up in the series a lot and there's probably a lot of readers saying "it'd be so cool to read these series they're making" but... they don't exist.

Rest of the bottom 5's pretty normal. Gintama goes up and down.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2010] - Discussion and TOC Talk

Nothing much to comment on for the bottom 5.

Here I was moping around about Bakuman's absence when lo and behold, there's an Otters 11 spin-off the following week! I'm so happy!! :D I've been wanting to read those mangas within the manga for some time now, and I'm glad it's finally happening.

EDIT: The reason why we might have an Otters spin-off and not another series like Crow or PCP is because those are story mangas. Otters is easier to draw (within 15 pages and as a one-shot) considering how the story of the week is most likely contained in a single chapter; similar to most gag mangas.

Otter spin-off lulz.

Spinning off some of the Bakuman manga is a good idea.

It does seem peculiar we're getting a Kawashita poster of Jump heroines. If it is the recent ones it should be...interesting. (heck, even more so if we dive into the past...heck, I wouldn't mind her trying the Kimagure Orange Road girls since...well, it probably is one of the only other major Jump romance series)

As for the bottom 5: excluding KochiKame, it seems pretty weird. Shikku and Mettaluca continue to bomb, Kuroko is lower and Gintama just continues with it's weird patterns as of late. (and Psyren...is Psyren, nothing to see here)
I'm hoping it's like the 40th anniversary posters; seeing some of the older Jump heroines joining Nami and Sakura would be epic. I want to see Kawashita's take on Arale.

Probably fake I mean come on Medaka so high after spending its whole life in the botom or right above it.

And as much as I like to see mago up there it seems unlikely.

It's really hard to say if it's fake or not but somehow I can see OP in third with correct circumstances. (Naruto is just popular and Mago did have quite a few color pages and the start of the anime recently) Medaka does have some support (even if it Psyrens a lot) and it's not like Shinigami or Inumaru isn't notable.

Just wow...

OP 3º??? Mago 2º??? Metallica isn't last???

This is one of the weirdest TOCs I've seen... reminds me of the sudden TOC changes of Bakuman =P

Metallica is in last. Jaguar is unranked series, so it doesn't count.

Hmmm dodgy but ok... only because of where OP is ranked but yeah under the right circumstances its not impossible, but I'm taking that one with a pinch of salt.

LOL KHR is so low. I can't really say anything :amuse
Is it 291 or 292? if it is 292 then i understand why it is so low. I am even surprised why it is not lower :notrust
If it's 291 then it's weird because it got CP and cover, and the chapter was not bad.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2010] - Discussion and TOC Talk

I really DON'T like this week's ToC... can't really concretize it, but due to all the color page party that's going on in the upper half, a lot of series get pushed down.

I hope Oumagadoki'll pull up again next week. Sure, it's not ranked yet but plummeting that near to the bottom dwellers is not good either. Oh well, don't wanna jinx anything... I'll stay optimistic^^

Must...not...fanboy...failing badly....Ok fuck it, I don't know when the next time I'll be able to do this. WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! Medaka Box finally cracks the top 5! I am pumped. I absolutely want to see the Medaka vs. Miyakonojou fight translated now if even the Japanese voted this much for it. New record that even beats the previous high with Akune vs. Koga and gives me more ammo within the fandom. I'm hoping Kumagawa and Hitomi don't disappoint me either in the coming chapters. This alone makes my week for Jump.

I even get icing on the cake with Reborn being so low this week. The only thing I'd nitpick over is One Piece being third but I can let that go considering how dominant the series is in general.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2010] - Discussion and TOC Talk

This week's ranking is really weird: OP got bumped down to #3 while Inumaru and Medaka is in the Top 5. Glad to see Nurarihyon take silver though.

@ReanaCamellia: This is the issue when 300 comes out so it's probably 292. I'm really interested to see what next week's ranking will be like.

@Rejuvenation: Apart from OP our sentiments are flipped. LOL To each their own. :tem

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2010] - Discussion and TOC Talk

What a weird table of contents. OP below Mago is strange (though neat for Mago), Sket Dance gets a deserving push, good to see Hokenshitsu moving back up, bad to see Gintama and Psyren (especially the latter) still low, Toriko/Beelzebub shared cover should be cool, and Medaka is about 20 places too high.
