This is officially the best thing EVAR!! I loved the first anime, but never really read the manga due to it's lenghth and the hope that one day there would be a sequel. And now there is!! And the fact that it's been worked on for 2 years (or more) makes all the more likely that it won't just be another 26 episode anime series !!

I got to thinking and realized I may not like this anime at all. Just looking at the style. Its that stupid cartoonized CGI that Japan likes to do in a lot of fail animes, and I never liked it. The characters ALWAYS come out really stiff looking and bland. Now if they tried going with super high quality CGI like in Advent Children I would be jizzing myself nonstop right now.

Yeah no censoring the sex scene......i'm like a truck, do you want to make me berserker. lol

I like caska better in the old anime compared to the new one, she was alot more cuter, well i guess i will have to wait for the snow scene when guts leaves them to see if she is cool looking or not.

If this is to be aired on TV, I imagine similar censorship to the original anime will apply, unless things have changed over there.

Which brings me to a question: I assume these are intended to be aired over in Japan first. How long will it be before they are translated, or at least subtitles added? Or do you think it's something that they've been doing as they have been making the anime? I just don't want to have to watch it without understanding the dialogue haha.

there are a lot of fansubs out there, Berserk has a high reputation in the manga world so one or more of these groups will sub the episodes really fast

I have no problem with censorship as long as it's the sex and nothing else. At least some scenes are very likely to be censored (fat black guy and little Guts urgh )

The english dub should be quick as too, fastest i have seen if Devil may Cry anime, it was like only 2 months behind!!! and the new mobile suit gundam UC episode 1 was like the same week/month.

English dub companys know this series is huge so they will jump on it.
But i can't wait 1-4 months so i will watch subs.

I would prefer them having griffith english dub, even caska and guts, it would feel weird not having them lol. More funny outtakes too.

But still at the same time I would expect nothing less. Because look at the quality of the manga. It is THE top in detail, I expect the animators to respect that.
