Re: One Piece 599 Discussion / 600 Prediction Thread

Buggy was an apprentice, its for sure that all the original members (the ones who are like luffy and his crew right now) probably knew haki. There's no way they sailed together for so long without knowing each others strengths and weaknesses, and i doubt the pirate king would be so greatly feared if his crew didn't know haki.

As a side note, from the Yonkou that we've seen, there have been quite a few of their crews that had haki, and you can be sure that those captains from the new world had haki as well.
Still, his whole entire crew doesn't need to learn haki just for luffys dream, and i can't picture nami, usopp or robin learning haki.

What's your reason for them not learning it? As Raleigh said, all living things are capable of haki. And there's really nothing to stop them, especially since vice admirals learn not only their own unique skills, but also rokushiki and haki.

Lets see ussop, nami learning COO since one is a sniper and the other one is a navigator and having COO will greatly enhance their ability, ussop will be able to sense and shoot down enemies beyond his visual range or in fog or darkness, nami would be able to predict weather and ocean current change before hand.

For robin she could learn COA to apply with her DF ability.

And again for ussop COA can also be an option for his sniping.

Re: One Piece 599 Discussion / 600 Prediction Thread

They can be just strong even without Haki. Zoro will learn Haki too, cause he is Luffy's prototipe of Rayleigh. Maybe Sanji and Usopp will learn Haki. But I doubt that there will be more crew members with Haki. Maybe some of the new members. In fact I think there will be more than 10 members of the crew, cause it's not that realistic. as people say it was Luffy's thought to have about 10 crew members when he was still a kid, but now he understands that it's not that simple to conquer Grand Line with a small crew no matter how powerful you are, cause there are too many enemies.

Re: One Piece 599 Discussion / 600 Prediction Thread

This is just an idea but since the pirate king was a high level master of COO and only a few people even have COC, i think its safe to assume that their might not be any true masters of COC in existence. Perhaps Luffy might be able to go further past the basics of COC and obtain a new power. It's just an idea anyway...

Also, there's like another 600 chapters of one piece, so there's more than enough time for the crew to learn haki and perhaps rokushiki. Maybe lucchi will give luffy the secret rokushiki manuscripts, who knows? Lol, the possibilities are endless...

I'm gonna be honest with you, i just think they seem weak. Eveyerone knows that usopp has gotten braver, but being brave isn't gonna protect him from strong enemies that awaits in the new world, and that weapon of his wont lay a scratch on them ether.

Usopp kinda reminds me of Don Krieg, even though he had a shi* full of weapons, he still couldn't beat luffy, sometimes you'll need more then weapons to beat an enemy like luffy, and there are bond to be tons of people in the new world that can take hits like luffy can. My point is, Usopp is still the weakling he was 2 years ago, he may have gotten buff, but he still seems weak to me.

And i could also say the same about nami, her weapons are kinda pathetic to be honest. And robins devil fruit abilities wont protect her against the new world pirates, i bet a ton of guys can break through her arms, and brook is just to silly. :D

Re: One Piece 599 Discussion / 600 Prediction Thread

Buggy and shanks were just apprentices at that time and were too young possibly 14 to 14 years of age, so i'm not too surprised that they didn't have haki back then, Plus having haki won't just haki the SH invincible, look at he VA they have haki but they still can be owned, so i won't be too surprised that in the future the crew awaken some type of haki, with zoro being the exception to might just awaken all three.

Anyone knows when the spoiler comes out?????
I could guess that Shanks could have started learning haki at that time and could use it a little, since rayleigh wouldnt mind teaching him. About buggy, he is a lazy character, he could have learned it if he wanted but he is not the type to put much effort to do something.

I know what you mean, but the pirate king was able to take COO and hear the voice of all things so I was just wondering what would happen if Luffy took COC to another level as well. Since COC seems to be Luffy's forte out of the three haki's, and it gets reinforced through personal growth, i'm just thinking that Luffy's COC may evolve from knocking people out to something even better by the time he becomes the pirate king.

Here's an idea.

So Haoushoku Haki allows you to overwhelm your opponent with your "spirit" or your presence. That causes the opponent to be intimidated and faint. It doesn't have to go so far as fainting though, just simply intimidating them is enough, like when Shanks made the Lord of the Coast run away, and when Luffy made the huge lion on Rusukaina scared when it growled at the Kuja pirates.

So maybe if you master Haoushoku, you have complete control over your "spirit" and presence, and are able to make others unable to perceive your presence, even if they're staring right at you. Instead of having such a large presence that it's intimidating, you have such a tiny one that no one notices you.

Re: One Piece 599 Discussion / 600 Prediction Thread

Don't foget shanks damaged the ship by just being on it.
I'd forgotten about that! That's interesting, I wonder how that plays out. Maybe the stronger your spirit, the greater the damage, so that if you've got your haki going full blast, you can sink a ship or bring down a building just by setting foot on it. Maybe you can even level a whole street or block of buildings, man that'd be awesome. It'd be kinda like a miniature, localised earthquake, but instead of everything shaking, it just breaks.

Or maybe even if your Haoshoku Haki is strong enough, then your other Haki types can piggy back off it, for some pretty awesome long range attacks.

Imagine being able to broadcast CoA haki to hit someone without actually moving, just using both Haki at the same time.

I don't think the wave itself was haki.... haki in itself is not visible. It does not even look like what other haki users have shown to far. The shockwave could be indirectly generated or enhanced with haki however I doubt the shockwave itself is haki.

didnt luffy's use of coc haki on hancock's island make a shockwave. Im sure it happened in the anime but not sure about the manga.
