Most Shonen mangas that are transferred into Anime have fillers as they always end up catching the serialization or get very near.

At best it would take them over 50 episodes to catch up if they do all of the manga. 1 episode a week = 50 weeks for 50 episodes which = 6 chapters miura does during that time lol.

Are you kidding me? 50 episodes to catch up with the entire manga? No way, the manga is massive, it will take way more than that. If they go literally with how the manga was released... Only the prologue would be enough for the first 20+ episodes.

volumes 4 to 13 took 26 episodes plus i think 2 episodes were fillers.
add volume 1-3 which would be 7 episodes. 14-20 17 episodes, 21-30 about 14 episodes. okay looking back it would be around 70-89 episodes.

Most animes end at volume 13 from having 26 episodes.

I think it would be a little more, if I remember correctly the 26 episodes of the old anime left out quite some things.

look at the original Naruto Anime. They used 135 episodes for 238 chapters. There were a few filler episodes and and some with little development but the Berserk Anime would at least take the same amount of eps if not more (2-3 normal chapters per episode). That's sure if they start from the beginning.

but Bleach and naruto drag out the episodes and pretty much nothing happens...........

The old anime didn't have the count fight at the start and the fight with the barikara and wylad hounds. fights with that barikara leader with the disk twice and that's all.

But true, berserk cover's alot of detail so it could even be 1 chapter for 1 episode sometimes.

ps, i have to admit this weeks episode of bleach was frigging awesome.
I personally like the animators of bleach, i love their colouring and character movement, i would like them to do a really good anime, perhaps one that i would make the story to lol...

Well I figured that for every episode, you need, lets say 35 pages of content. In the first 10 volumes theres like 2 000 pages. That's almost 60 episodes worth of material. And we know there's much more than that to the manga.

Well depends. I just hope they don't needlessly stretch out episodes or add fillers in. The fans of this manga are used to the wait and we expect the best from the anime. I am willing to wait for quality and accuracy.

I wonder when the anime will come?? I kinda hope it doesn't come out till miura does 20 chapters so thats like a year and a half? maybe 2 years lol.

I don't think Berserk is suited to have fillers, though Muira may have some stuff he failed to flesh out to keep the story progressing. Maybe the anime will be seasonal... Especially since they are worried about the response they are going to get.

About fillers: I think it would be hard to create single filler episodes, but whole filler stories are well possible. All the pseudo-fairy-story (when the Vatican chases Gutts) actually felt like a filler within the manga

Its not filler simply by the fact its canon from Miura. >,> And any filler would be an insult to this manga.

Of course it is not a real filler for the reasons you mentioned, I never ment to say it that way. I just said it had the feeling of a filler, because it was so different to the rest in style all of the sudden
It was just like a typical side story which does not affect the main story and thus is typical for fillers - apart from the Vatikan chasing behind him which of course is a main story element, but the time they actually meet Guts is after the pseudo fairy arc story is finished.

I don't mean to say that it was bad either, many other stories like Naruto are very direct and not showing such sidestories at all (in the original manga). The way this one was placed (after and before pure awesomeness of storyline) and the awesome quality of it make it still very enjoyable, while it makes the main story a little more relevant at the same time by not continuing it for a while, so I fully liked that arc.

Well I hope there will be no fillers, but I just can't imagine a bad Berserk filler. XD

I mean, what's it gonna be, slaying some demon in a city Guts was passing through? It would still be awesome

But yeah, rather no fillers please. Don't wanna risk anime producers proving me wrong.

I was watching this other anime starts with U. one of the guys reminds me of guts by height, build and looks, I love that guy because he reminds me off guts and how guts is so badass. So everytime the guy owns in battle im like "yeah guts look a like!"

Clearly Gut's is the most badass character ever! I will not change my mind to any other anime character that people say. All i can say is F#% i love guts.

but yet, I think Guts the 2nd strongest character.
