Frankly it's a surprise that there's no category for Best Power Up. Work in Progress
Best Hairstyling Yu-Gi-Oh!
How do all those spiky/multicoloured/impossible hairstyles look ridiculously cool?
Best new series Oumagadoki Doubutsuen
The only other contender I'm reading is Enigma, but OD is such a fun series.
Best Female Lead Rossette Christopher from Chrno Crusade
Aside from the typical shonen traits of determination and kindness, she's probably the most powerless character in the main cast (and she's the main protagonist too!) but she stays on the frontlines regardless. Clare from Claymore is just... kinda passive for the most part. >.>
Best Artwork D.Gray-man (especially around chapters 165 to 186)
Also the most evolved art I've ever seen, the details and quality Hoshino put into this made it the best drawn weekly series ever! She's settling into her new style currently but the art will dominate the likes of the monthlies too.
Best plot-twist D.Gray-man
When we find out that the 14th wants to kill the Earl and take over the position for himself.
Even though the former was mentioned beforehand, the latter just made it a game changer.
Best WTF Moment D.Gray-man
Cross Marian was assasinated!?!?!?
You don't just expect the mangaka to kill off the only character introduced so far who actually knows what's going on, but she just did so after a very important reveal.
Best Manga Overall Fullmetal Alchemist
Would've been One Piece or maybe even Naruto, but they're not finished yet Heck, I wish I could put in DGM but FMA is a better all-rounder and less... gory and tragic? Also, FMA is the story I would recommend to non-manga reading people first.
Best Couple/Pairing Syaoran and Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura
As other Clamp works can attest to, they're so destined for each other that it's creepy. But in its original series, it's one of the cutest pairings I've ever seen.
Best Seinen Manga Monster
Kinda miffed by its vague ending though, but that's just me. Other possible candidate Burning Hell wasn't all that Seinen-y and there's only 4 chapters out. D:
Best Costume Design Soul Eater
Most other series I can think of has their main wardrobe full of uniforms, but Soul Eater has more to offer and all of them very cool. If you ever get the chance to look through the Soul Art artbook, you might think so too.
Best Shojo Manga Cardcaptor Sakura
...because I didn't like the endings from all the other ones I've read and I haven't finished Wallflower (Yamato Nadeshiko) or Alice Academy.
Best Male Supporting Character Akito 'Shujin' Takagi from Bakuman
Killua from HxH almost made it here, but I find Shujin to be more 'supportive' overall.
Best Villain Shishio Makoto from Rurouni Kenshin (might change if I actually remember something else)
Okay, I'm cheating a bit here since I never read the manga and only watched the anime when I was young, but this guy was a villain till the end and beyond, none of that 'face heel turn' stuff. He knew what he wanted and it didn't matter if it made him the bad guy; he wants it, he goes for it.
This is absolutely awesome. Do you like Batman? Well, this is Batman, "Japanese style", in the future (apocaliptic - can't spell) and with robots, except that its characters and setting is European'ish instead. But instead of lame Robin as the sidekick, we got an old fashioned but sexy in her own way and extremely powerful as she's a robot, hehe. There's even Alfred the Butler, except his name is Norman Burg and he packs some serious "heat" (guns and other weapons) and is quite resourceful too. The dialogue between the protagonist, Roger Smith, and the 2nd-tagonist (forgot what it was called, lol), Dorothy R. Wayneright, is so witty, they're such an adorable couple! Incredible plot/story as well, with a big surprise/plot-twist too, *grins*. Big O is really a must read/watch manga/anime, especially if you like Batman. You won't believe how similar/parallel it is to Batman!
(Beserk, Gantz, and Monster already is so well known as can be seen with the amount of nominations they're getting, so I'm "propping/advertising" this for people, if they want to read/watch another good seinen manga/anime)
Best Male Supporting Character: Norman Burg
(see above description)
*(my two previous nominations, Haji from Blood+ and Roy Revant from Solty Rei, failed to be supporting characters, lol)
There is no Roronoa Zorro in Bleach, only a Roronoa Zoro in One Piece So it was definitely a typo on tret16's part when he was typing the name of the series.
No genre categories? I mean like sports/comedy/drama. Not to every little thing thing like neopunk, but those big three atleast.
Okay, here we go.
Best Male Lead - I nominate Kenji Endo from 20th/21st Century Boys. He is so easy to relate to, he is just like one of us. As a boy he wanted to save the world, as a teen he wanted to be a rock star and as a adult he is a manager of a franchise minimart. However, when forced to corner, he slowly yet steadily grows into a rockin' hero, only one with the strenght and support to deny villanous Friend.
Best Male Supporting Character - As much as I like Runge and L, I still nominate Wolfgang Grimmer from Monster. The man is so caring, despite his own claim that he has no feelings. Sub-conciously denies them due to childhood trauma. But perfectly feelingless person wouldn't be so nice, righteous and heroic.
Best Female Lead - I nominate Gally from GUNNM(aka. Battle Angel Alita)/GUNNM: The Last Order. Professor Ito saves the head of a beatifull female cyborg from the trash heaps. His dream was to just make her beautifull and live happily, but the stubborn lady drifts into the world of fighting and killing, muchly lead by her unknown past she has herself forgotten. The cyborgs growth as a person is splendidly told and very heart touching, and as bonus she kicks some bad guy ass pretty damn effectivly.
Best Shounen Manga - I support One Piece, but I'd like to see someone nominate HxH or FMA. Oda has done a splendid job on building a universe
and characters that just yell "Adventure!" out loud. Also very special case in Jump, as time to time you jaw drop as you notice, that he has had this moment/character done in his mind since the beginning.
Best Seinen Manga - I nominate Naoki Urasawa's Monster. The way the athmosphere builds up in this mystery is just astonishing. The web of mystery and how its slow unveiling changes the characters during their journey is spectacular. The grande finale made me shiver like crazy, and all of it is done without need to rely on supernatural plot devices. In theory, this could have really happened.
Best Villain - I support Johan Liebert from Monster. The name of the manga sound silly at first, but as the reader gets to know who is Johan, and how he became the person he is, the title makes undeniable sense. The most frightening monsters don't have jaws, claws or several limps.
Best Fight - I nominate Thorkkell's duel with Thorrfinn in Vinland Saga. It was just so awesome.
Best Couple - I nominate Rock and Revy from Black Lagoon. The japanese salaryman and crazy violent mercenary lady just have some amazing chemistry, which is on of the things which makes this series so entertaining.
Best Full Cast - I support Fullmetal Alchemist here. Not only does it have plenty of amazing characters, but well built social networks and reletions between them.
Best Artwork - I'm between Vinland Saga and Vagabond here. I'll decide later.
Best WTF Moment -
Revelation of Duval's identity in One Piece.
Totally WTF?!?! and funny as hell also.
Best new series - What counts as new? I'd like to nominate Beelzebub, but it has been running a while for now.
Best Manga Overall - The best overall manga must be something that surpasses genre and age. This is why I nominate Yotsuba&! A slice of life series, that never fails to make the reader smile. The realistic daily 'adventures' of an eccentric little girl and his family and friends are fit to reader of any age. If you do not enjoy this, your heart must be made of ice.
Okay, because One Piece is going to make it anyways, I change my support in Best shonen to Hunter x Hunter. Sure the chimaera arc has had it ups and downs, and the hiatuses are driving everyone crazy, but everything before that was just incredible. I love how the battles and challenges are overcome rather with wits and preparation than sheer power. Almost every fighter seems to have more wit than the "smart guys" in other popular shonen. Still the series isn't overly complex, and very entertaining read.
Best supporting female: I support Fee from Planetes.
Best hairstyling: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Best costume design: Katekyo Hitman Reborn! On other aspects KHR! isn't really an expectional manga, but it looks darn good. Bleach always gets credit for character designs, but I prefer KHR over it.
Best color page: Support Vagabond vol 21, ch 181. Inoue has some amazing colorings, this is one of them. Not my personal favorite, but I can't bother now to look for the exact page.
Best doublespread: I support the 20th Century Boys one, where the two "mechas" meet.
Best artwork: Vagabond. It's just simply brilliant and beautiful. Vinland Saga was close.
There is no Roronoa Zorro in Bleach, only a Roronoa Zoro in One Piece So it was definitely a typo on tret16's part when he was typing the name of the series.
actually tret16 typed it right, but the next poster, scav, (at least I) thought he/she was saying that tret16 meant Roronoa Zorro in Bleach (as there's way too many characters in bleach for me to know them all, I didn't know).
Actually, tret16 had initially typed 'Bleach'. That's why the subsequent posters corrected it, and after that, it was changed, making the "corrections" by those posters out of place
Yeah, Bleach has a ton of characters. I don't remember them all, either
Best mail lead: Allen walker - D.gray-man Best mail supporting character: Kanda Yuu - D.gray-man Best shounen manga D.gray-man Best costume design D.gray-man Best villain Millenium earl - D.gray-man best fight Luffy vs Luchi - One piece Best color page D.gray-man chapter 121 http://img294.imageshack.us/i/ch12101.jpg/ Best full cast One piece Best artwork D.gray-man Best WTF moment
One piece chapter 279 - When Enel relizes that his powers are ineffective against Luffy

Best Male Lead: Allen Walker (D.Gray-Man)
Best Male Supporting Character: L (Death Note)
Best Female Lead: Risa (Lovely Complex)
Best Female Supporting Character: Major General Olivia Armstrong (FMA)

Best Hairstyling: Katekyo Hitman Reborn (the pineapple hair made my decition clear!)
Best Costume Design: D.Gray-man
Best Villain: The Millenium Earl (D.Gray-Man)
Best Fight: Naruto vs Pain
Best kiss: between Naruto and Sasuke X'D that's also a great wtf moment lol
Best Colour-page: Nabari no Ou (The pages in the middle of the last chapter), those who've seen them won't complain <3
it's creepy, funny, sweet, scary, depressing and mysterious... in just 17 pages new relations and developments... art is nice... dunno what else to say, I just love that chapter for some reason..
Best Couple/Pairing: Ed x Winry (FMA) always wins for me ^^
Best Full Cast: D.Gray-man (ah, FMA is also great it's hard to choose! But personal feelings first, every character in DGM is just lovely..)
Best Artwork: D.Gray-man. The art has had it's ups and downs, but no other manga has had so many pages in one volume that I just want to rip out, frame and decorate my room with
Best WTF Moment:
I have two, I don't want to decide! D: (the first one probably made me go WTF most though, given the situation.. >_>)
The (appearant?) assasination of Cross Marian. It was just so unexpected! though he probably just went hiding from his debts
When an appearanly random one-chapter-character, Irie Shouichi, introduced as early as in chapter 13 and then "forgotten", suddenly appeared again over 140 chapters later, and was revealed to be quite important to the story...
Best plot-twist:
When it's revealed that Allen is the 14th Noah
Best Manga Overall: ongoing? D.Gray-man Finished? Fullmetal Alchemist
Moderator Notice: She chose D. Gray Man~ HegemonKhan
I nominate Onizuka from GTO for the best male lead. Nobody in any manga better combines humor and action into such a likeable package.
I nominate HNK as the best seinen as it is clearly one of the most influential mangas, and the predecessor to modern seinen.
I nominate Bleach as having the best outfits (the outfits drawn when they are IRL or on the covers look like things I would wear)
I nominate GTO as the best overall manga. No other manga has made me both laugh and cry the way GTO has. Plus, the attention to details, references to SJG and other pop culture makes it certainly one of the deepest mangas ever.
Best Male Lead in a manga: not yet decided Best Male supporting character in a manga: Askeladd, Vinland Saga Best Female Lead in a manga: Gally from Gunnm (Last Order) Best Female supporting character in a manga: Asuka, Kimi no Iru Machi
Best Shoujo Manga: Trinity Blood (sole one I read) Best Shounen Manga: Muhyo to roujie (it deserves to be mentioned) Best Seinen Manga: Me and the Devil Blues
Best Villain: Aji Tae, Shin Angyo no Onshi (purest evil I ever read in a manga - not manwha, since it was published in a Jhttp://mangahelpers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66366&page=4apanese magazine)
Best Fight: not yet decided
Best Chapter: not yet decided
Best Couple : Haruto and Asuka, Kimi no Iru Machi Best Kiss: Haruto and Asuka, Kimi no Iru Machi
Best Full Cast: Samurai Deeper Kyo (villains, goodies, etc they are all awesome)
Best Artwork (manga): Me and the Devil Blues
Best WTF Moment: chapter 18 of Me and the Devil blues (p 158-160 of volume 3: how the blind Mac Donald, walking in a hallway, turns his head towards a hidden Thorton. Saying dry: "What are you doing here, Mister Thorton?" WTF real life creep)
Best plot-twist: not yet decided
Best Manga Overall: Vinland Saga
I add two new categories which I hadn't decided about
Best Male Lead in a manga: Akiyama, Liar Game Best Newcomer: Enigma
I originally nominated the fight between Orochimaru and Sandaime as the best fight. But I changed my opinion to:
-> Best Fight : Takamura Mamoru VS Brian Hawk (Hajime no Ippo). I think that someone nominated this already so it's just a + vote for that fight.
Also I would like to nominate
-> Best Shoujo : Lovely Complex. (+1 vote too)
Best Male Lead in a manga: Alucard in "Hellsing"
He is not just the male lead ... he is the whole manga. Best Male supporting character in a manga: L in "Death Note" Best Female Lead in a manga: Gally in "Gunnm" Best Female supporting character in a manga: Yūko Ichihara in "XXX Holic" Best Shoujo Manga: Nana
Only Shoujo I could really read (& watch on TV) in my life. Best Shounen Manga: One piece
One piece ... Do I really need to say why ? Best Seinen Manga: 20th Century Boys
Best scenario ever. Best Villain: Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter
Badass, Sociopath, Unpredictable ... Best Fight: Rock Lee vs Gaara in Naruto
Mainly due to the anime, I must admit Best Couple: Kei Kurono & Tae in Gantz
Real evolution of both characters.
Kei is surrounded by babes but he loves Tae Best Full Cast: One piece
9 main characters & they complete each others perfectly. Best Artwork (manga): XXX Holic
You can love or hate Clamp but his style is unique.
The color pages, covers, double-spread are absolutely fanstastic Best plot-twist: Berserk & The Eclipse
Who could expect this to happen ? This was completely unpredictable Best Manga Overall:One Piece.
One piece ... Do I really need to say why ?
Category: Best Fight
Original Nomination: Thorkell vs Thorfinn (Vinland Saga) Post #14
New Nomination: Fujiki Gennosuke vs Irako Seigen (Shigurui)
A most epic fight. Actually they clash more than once, but when they meet on the height of their capabilities in a duel for life and death, it's most awesome. A fight of giants in a world, where fights usually are decided by a single blow of Katana versus unarmored fighters.
Fujiki and Irako facing each other
I fear a little for Vinland Saga, but it would almost feel unfair for me not to try to nominate this fight.
