You should.

Most people have watched the anime series; which is awesome but a bit irritating, dull and extremely repetitive at times. =P The manga is a great read if you have time and patience. You might as well give the anime a go first.

I'd say you have two citizenships, cause european citizenship is not particulary a citizenship. It's tied with a citizenship of the country that resides in European Union and if you loses the citizenship or quits the citizenship of the country that is part of European Union (in your case it is Germany) you will automatically loose the citizenship of European Union.

P.S. Sorry for the question, but were you born in Russia or in Germany?
