Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Forgive me boy,but Naruto?

[tarouch]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Naruto : 51 Volumes : 100.4 millions

"Naruto" has now 54 volumes so it has certainly exceeded 105 million copies sold

P.S : it's "forgive me" not "sorry me"

@Heiji-sama : for "kochikame" It sells just 100,000 copies, why he has so many prints?

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

What about Claymore? I'm interested how it fares when compared to D.Gray-Man (which personally I don't like),

[tarouch]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Claymore (1~17) = 6,100,000
D.Gray-man (1~20) = 20,000,000

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Has there been any release to ToLoveRu (1-18 End) sales figures?

As for Kochi Kame's first print number, maybe it's contract obligation or Shueisha's pension plan for Akimoto...

To Love-Ru (1~18) = 7,000,000

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

How about Hokenshitsu No Shinigami?

[tarouch]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

"NANA", "hxh", "Vagabond" : Break
"FMA" and "Nodame Cantabile" : finished
"Reborn!", "Detective Conan", "Kuroshitsuji", "D. Gray Man, ""Gintama", "Bleach","Ookiku Furikabutte": sales declines

the top 50 best-selling volumes of 2011 will surely be low this year :/

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

@tarouch: Meanwhile, One Piece's sales continue to increase...

I'm pretty interested to see which series end up in the top 10 for best selling series. It was quite a surprise to see Mago on it last year, but I don't think it will be there again this year (the surge was probably largely due to its anime).

Also quite interested to see how the tie-ups with OP, major pimping, anime and movie will affect Toriko's sales. I guess we will see with its next volume release and so on

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Heh. Toriko sold about 61,000 more copies in its first week than it did with the previous volume that came out just a few weeks ago. The promotion is helping.

Shingeki no Kyojin still selling well.

[saladesu]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Way to go Shingeki no Kyojin! I'm sure its other 3 volumes are also selling well even if they aren't appearing on the top 30.

And it's great that the promotion has really boosted Toriko's sales significantly. *reads Negative Syndicate's post* Oh, darn Still, Toriko is doing pretty well and I'm happy for it. It's impossible that the promotion has done nothing for it, but it's just that we can't compare properly due to the different factors (number of days).

Yay for Ao no Exorcist as well!

Well, Toriko's sales is higher than previous volume because of difference on days. The first week sales for previos volume was just based on three days sales, and the first week sales for current volume is based on seven days.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

If we are dealing with promotion so AnE's promotion has done wonders for the manga, it it's 5th volume it sold a bit over 80K in 2 weeks and here it sold over 140K in one week, now that is a significant effect .

Moreover we should wait for Toriko's second week in Oricon and see, the last volume sold about 215K if I'm not mistaken so we might be able to see the results of just the special, movie and 1 episode within a week.

sorry i'm new at this. where is naruto ?

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

These Oricon rankings show the best 30 manga sellings during every week. Total sellings don't count here.

One Piece has two volumes that sold more than 3 million copies, but none of them sold more than 24 thousand copies this last week, so they aren't shown this week. But during their first week of release, they sold more than 1 million copies and were number 1.

Same thing happens to Naruto. Last volume was released around 1 month ago and was number 1 with 800 or 900 thousand copies sold in the first week. Now it only sells 10-20 thousand copies every week.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

I expected more for "Shingeki"and especially "Gantz" since his film has had much success

anyone know how much the special edition volume of fairy tail has sold?
