Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

As compared to Enigma, Magico has very good start. But I'm disappointed that Gekka Bijin still didn't make it to chart; I thought vomic would help it.

I agree wholeheartedly. I hope Gekka Bijin doesn't get cancelled. >_< Not that...I've been able to read it since the 8th chapter. (No one seems to have it online any more.)

[predsfan]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

This is why I don't worry about Mago. WSJ Editors would have to be morons to cancel b/c of how it ranks in the magazine voting. Considering Toriko is highly promoted, especially the movie publicity w/One Piece, and it only sold a little over 10k more copies than Mago.

[Asarii]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

↑ I agree. It'll be foolish to cancel Mago when it's sales are doing pretty well. Let's hope it'll stay this way even after the anime ends.

The readers who buy the tankobon will be different than those who send the postcards; this is why the tankobon demographic should also be taken into account when WSJ makes decisions.

Hunter x Hunter seems to be on it's way to a million. Pretty good for coming off such a long hiatus.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Gin no Saji sold 90k copies in three days... that's great! Good for Arakawa

I wonder how many copies of FMA's first volume were sold in its first days.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Good to see Toriko get over 300K while it's still on the chart. It's sold about 100K more than the last issue, it's certainly improving.

With HXH's next volume coming out next week, both will probably sell a ton.

it's 2chan people posting the top50/100 rank they obtain from a "subscription" system in Oricon, so if you trust the usual Oricon rankings and people's ability to transcribe stuff, then yes.

Good to see Shingeki no kyojin going good in sales. I am sure, the sales would improve with up coming volumes.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

I'm not surprised at One Piece dominating the charts, but I am pleasantly surprised at KnT's high placement. I'm glad a shoujo series has dominated several of the shonen titles. Hoping to see more variety someday.

I second this. Since it's doing pretty well, I wouldn't be surprised if animation companies are eyeing it for an adaptation.
