Because our state is weird. We have trials, AKA "mock" HSC (equivalent to the VCE) exams. So they have the same format, lenght, etc. However, they're not really mock because they count towards marks. Three weeks? That's long. My exams were usually a week. That was the longest. Now lately I only have exams for 3-4 days. Of course, tons of materials being packed into such short days is a pain as well. :3

Well SACs are just basically tests that count toward your study score/ATAR that are marked internally. Then they send the scores over to VTAC (Victorian Tertiary... something ) and are recorded. Marks can also be adjusted according to VTAC standards, and stuff too. >_>Biomed's not too hard...with your Asian blood, that is
Yeah, it's pretty funny. If you chose med as your career, realistically the more friends you have who chose med, the less happy you'd be. Seriously, the amount of people choosing (or dreaming) about medicine is insane
