Wow, that sucks for Kurogane then XD especially since it's the readers that choose whether something lives or dies, lol.
So it'll either die for the readers hating the author cause of what he said, die for lacking in being a good writer, or survive for being a good story! lol I really want to know what he said though～～♫

I wonder if he's still going out with the same chick? I mean those aren't exactly unpopular series she chose to say nasty things about, and considering that Jump more than doubles Sunday's sales, I think she's got a wee bias going on. Either way, it must be hard to draw in one magazine, just to have your girl trash it in favor of another. :-P

It seems that the new series "Kurogane" has already gained a HUGE amount of haters over the internet.

Kurogane's author "Ikezawa Haruto" has been known to make rude comments or make fun of cetain series on his Twitter account in the past and has gained many haters over the internet.

A list of some of the series Ikezawa has said something stupid/rude about:

- Bleach
- Reborn
- Medaka Box
- Sket Dance
- Bakuman
- Wajimania
- Kashikoi Inu
- Hokenshitsu no Shinigami
- Neko Wappa
- Kagijin
- Akaboshi
- ToLove ru
- I''s
- Double Arts

He is even known to make fun of everyone in the jump editorial staff (except his own editor)and many newcomer Manga artists.

However since Kurogane being serializing, he has been apologizing for the things he has said, but the hate still runs deep through japanese forums.

Does anybody think this guy sounds a bit like Nanamine?? criticizing would be one thing, criticizing with rude comments is another thing. I'd like to see which one was he.

The reason why he seems to sound like Nanamine to me, is that he sounds like he's more social media-savvy than the rest of Vets in Jump. Just like how Nanamine used the power of the internet for his goals.

Well, Shimabukuro slept with some underage girls and was arrested, and now he's a huge sucessful mangaka in WSJ.
So I don't think Japaneses are the type who cares that much about mangaka's actions in the past.

This is true, and it goes back to my previous point that kids don't know about these things, and they're the one's who are the majority voting right?

i was hoping we would get confirmation on the medaka box anime for this issue since we are starting to get more spring anime announced...but it looks like we didnt oh well but we did get confirmation that the gintama and sket dance crossover chapters will be getting anime specials http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-09-05/gintama-x-sket-dance-crossover-manga-get-tv-anime so i guess its a win lose situation.

The majority of Winter hasn't been announced yet let alone Spring 2012. Though Winter will probably be even smaller than usual considering there is 8 two cour shows airing in Fall 2011 and you also have Hunter X Hunter and Gundam Age.

More than the fact that mangakas are also , I'm surprised we know he has a girlfriend. Not many mangaka reveal their personal lives. Where do you guys get this information from?

You know, its always hard to predict what context it was said in. Was it said publicly on the internet, or was it a private conversation she didn't want anyone else to here?

EDIT: For all we know, his girlfriend could be Saki Kasukabe, waiting for the day her boyfriend stops being a video game otaku.

Going back to Ikezawa, there's a reason why jerkasses become popular...people like a villain. Maybe he has a love-hate relationship with Jump, or something. He does sound a little like Nanamine though. All we have to know is which mangaka's reputation he wants to soil!

oh i know i was refering to the another anime that was announced and kimi to boku two which is what i meant by some spring anime.

Until there's a news source I'm not sure I believe these mangaka/mangaka's significant others publicly insulted so many prominent peers and editors. It all sounds more like an unsourced 2CH rumor to me.

I really like that Sket Dance cover. A shame it hasn't gotten the cover more often. Looking forward to Medaka's color pages and extra pages in general. As Spring 2012 gets closer hopefully we get an anime announcement of some sort.

As far as whether comments were made or not, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. People say stupid things all of the time and with the large amount of people shooting themselves in the foot on twitter in the America, it wouldn't surprise me if some of it is happening in Japan as well. People are still people.

I realized that this year seems to be the "official" 10th year anniversary for Bleach (despite the fact that it also got the spines last year even though it was supposed to belong to Kochikame, I think) and I was wondering if Shueisha would release a special 10th anniversary book with all the other mangaka drawings of Bleach just like they did for OP/Naruto?

While MH was offline, she comented at IRC that Kochikame seems to be ending. She said it is written in the last ToC.
