So Enigma is last, again. Especially when it absolutely shouldn't have considering how amazing chapter 40 is. I am extremely disappointed just because it has no ecchi and isn't humorous/intense (in terms of battling), I think it's just became lower and lower. I'm sure the Magico vs Enigma argument is going to rise again soon enough, but personally stating my opinion, I hope Magico would get canceled. I mean, to be at the bottom in such early stages isn't a good sign and compared to Enigma, I don't think this was the case. Some people are arguing about the fact Enigma volume 1 sold less than Magico volume 1, despite the fact Enigma volume 4 actually sold more. Now though it would be significant, in this case, Magico won't even make it to a volume 4. It'll probably be canceled after Enigma as most of its arcs are only 1-3 chapters. Enigma has just crossed over to a new arc, so here's hoping to an improvement.

Kochikame's ending, huh?? about time. This gives another extra spot in Jump for a new series. Goddamit!!! Enigma...... T__T this feels like DA all over again. *sigh* y'know, if Jmanga or any international manga site that JUMP would be willing to work with held questionnaires for the international audience as well, Enigma would definitely stay consistently in Top 5 every week.

No you're wrong. Magico V1 didn't just outsell Enigma V1, it also outsold Enigma V2 and V3.

Enigma V1 = N/A

Enigma V4 = 38k

Magico V1 = 32k

It's pretty obvious which is going to be the better seller as of now.. and even if Enigma surives Magico if it keeps ranking last and the tank sales don't increase it's dead anyway.

Having skimmed through a couple of Magico chapters, seems like it has a goud amount of action, kids don't like that anymore, what's the "hate" for? I just don't want to start another manga.

Edit: The rankings correspond to the Issue (and respective chapters) 8 weeks before the actual one.

You can't compare an unavailable amount to a number. Volume one and two could have sold more or could not.

I would proably care more about Kochikame, if there was more than a couple of movies/OVA that I could watch/read. 175+ vol. that I will never be able to read or care about. haha Seems like someone[rawcrossing] took care of Doaemon till v6 last month.

Which is exactly the same as Magico. Enigma has a larger lead and whether or not they'd support a manga with 47 chapters + ~7-15 or Magico's 25 chapters + ~7-15 chapters depending on which of the two gets canceled. Considering Enigma has 4 volumes whilst Magico only has 1, I would assume Enigma has more fans, but didn't start off with a stronger impact. Enigma has the chance to go onto at least 6 volumes which means there's a good chance it'll attract more fans that way, while Magico wouldn't have as much volumes to attract as much fans. At least, I think I'm thinking right? Because I'm confusing myself too. I dunno. I just hope Enigma gets the recognition it deserves. :P

@Newkerzy: I know. Just have to pray either: The rankings go up as things are explained the next two chapters, which is unlikely I guess. Or the new arc brings it up...

Well until volume 2 of Magico comes out it will be harder to say which is the better seller between Magico and Enigma, but if Volumes 3 and 4 saw a boost then Volumes 1 and 2 likely got a boost as well since I;d assume most people would want every volume of a series their buying.

However the fact that Enigma is getting a center color page could be a sign that JUMP wants to save it. Especially since this doesn;t seem to be the anniversary color page as there;s no acknowledgement of such. Guess we'll have to see how it goes. Though if Kochikame really is ending soon, both Enigma and Magico should be safe for a while.

Interesting, I never thought of it like that. With Kochikame ending and a space already open, I guess both Magico and Enigma are hopefully safe for now. But this colour page with Act 2 seem like they're the last chance for Enigma.

I would like Enigma to end in a natural way. I never thought that it would be a long manga (like One Piece) but instead a manga with 50-60 chapters. So, let's hope that this new arc and the color page give a little boost for the natural ending of this series.

And it was time to Kochikame to end. It has a nice number of chapters and years in the Jump, but I think it's time to let new authors take that spot (if they can).

I'm with PaseR, that some series shouldn't be prolonged and the mangaka should try to make a good plot instead of going the typical WSJ way of trying write forever till it's cancelation. I will stop, before it becomes a bashing of certain manga.

I dunno if there's anything in the Kochikame thing about it ending, it's something about a "13 magazine tour" and such...

Also, Enigma is getting a color page because it's its 1-year anniversary. Maybe it'll do better, maybe not. It had a good run either way.

Interesting bottom five, though it's a shame for fans of Enigma that it may not past a year, probably ending up something like P2 (making a year then taking a bow) At least it made it that far even with everything that had happened but nothing can ever be known in the future in this magazine.
