Re: Strongest Kogarasamu member

Of course he could bring the wind back. He seems to have a very high level of control over the wind, and can predict where it's coming from, when, and how fast it is, what direction it's moving in. Sora, obviously, is able to as well. We saw them accurately pinpoint the wind's direction and speed in the Inorganic Net battle, like they were meteorologists or something.

But yeah, you could be right in that he could have a second phase to the "Null Wind" Trick. If and when he uses it on Sora, we'll see.

with the on going (or maybe it's pretty much finished?) match between sf and genesis... i am hoping that the sight of kiric amidst everything that has happened is a sign of just how uber kiric is as a rider. kiric is one of my top fav characters in ag but he's overwhelmingly overshadowed by yoshitsune and agito/akito/lind for me. however, he's getting up there with yoshi in bamf-ness. a part of me hopes that we are not witnessing the end of the match, that way there's room for kiric to actually show off his skills for all of us readers to see.

Problem being OG is shitting on him because he won't attack Rika since he cares about her and she's pregnant. It also looks like he doesn't have regalia on which is annoying. I really wish OG would've just given us Sora vs Kiric like all the fans wanted instead of this bullshit.

Its really hard to tell, Oh Great just throws out battle numbers sometimes, right now Agito should b the strongest with all modes but who knows.

Agito should be the strongest. The Regalias give an advantage to Ikki though, making him the strongest right now.

Re: Strongest Kogarasamu member

If all of them don't have or isn't wearing any regalia, it would definitely be Ikki. Since he can catch the wind and used it numerous times to his own advantage even without wearing one. His skill is like a gravity child even without a regalia.

Re: Strongest Kogarasamu member

A Wing Road Rider can manipulate the wind with his/her bare hands. They don't even need ATs for a lot of the stuff they can do. But the Pile Tornado would still require at least a normal pair of ATs, if not the Wind Regalia (Ikki has used it without the Wind or Storm Regalia).

But Ikki can't really do much in an AT battle if he isn't wearing ATs himself. No matter how good he gets in manipulating the wind without ATs. That's true for any Stormrider, no matter who it is.

Is Air Gear heading towards its ending?

Re: Air Gear 336 Discussion/ 337 Predictions

sadly... yes but og is probably going to milk it for all it's worth.
Since then, I wonder if OG will stay in Kodansha, return to Shueisha, or move different publishers.

He needs to find a decent scriptwriter first.

Re: Air Gear Hangout Thread

Where did the plot go?! I thought it was based on the teamwork and friendship of the main characters! If you write a manga it's best to go by the plot!. not like i've written anything before, I know the basics! At one point I thought the plot was about the gravity children (I'm glad it wasn't!) then later in the manga I thought the plot was on the brain chargers (then it would give my favorite character, Agito, more screen time! :D) but no. I hope Ringo dies! D:< sorry, I dislike her, a lot!

Where's the plot!!!!!! D:< :-_-

Re: Air Gear 338 Discussion/ 339 Predictions

I've been struggling so hard to maintain my interest in this manga. It went from being the greatest thing on this planet to a big ball of meh. I can't help but feel that Ogure has fucked this up by being lazy. I liked Ikki as a character but didn't feel he could carry it as a main character, that said, the people he had around him, all had enough about them to collectively as a team make it into a great manga. Which is hilarious as they spent so many 100s of chapters of ink talking up the effort of teamwork. So how was it all thrown away in an instant to facilitate a battle that makes no damn sense?

I have to say I'm surprised to see you of all people speaking like that about this manga. I do agree on the team work aspect especially since I wanted to see Koga fight together in a similar manner to Old Sleeping Forest.

The battle does make sense, in a Shounen manga sense. Which is what this is, at the end of the day: a Shounen manga.

Not a valid excuse.

Being a shonen manga =/= Excuse for (subjectively) bad writing.

That's like saying an author is allowed to make bad writing choices because a book is fiction. The genre has nothing to do with the writing.

I'm only referring to the mechanics and the way of battle. And the plot armor. Not the writing quality.

Re: Air Gear 338 Discussion/ 339 Predictions

I think there's a shonen rule book that every manga writer has to follow. If you do look at most shonen manga they pretty much follow the same pattern.

As for the degradation in quality, this is an OG manga. It was only a matter of time before everything started to go downhill. Anybody who read Tenjou Tenge knew it was coming we just didn't know when.
