I could understand Sora's motivations if he happened to be the only failure. But he wasn't, a lot of others were on the list to be disposed of. But instead of helping them he murdered them. That and the fact that they weren't all whinny about what happened. Look at Spitfire he wasn't all bitchy he went out and created a life, I'm sure the others did as well.

It's pride. Sora's pride won't allow him to be one of the 99% since it would make his life meaningless to him, which is probably why he tried to steal Gazelle's Brain Charger before, so he could become part of the 1%. That didn't work out and it looks like he got depressed, but then Minami gave him a little pep talk about 'spirit' and 'courage', so he figured it's OK to be part of the 99% as long as he had the guts to change his life himself. Therefore people like those 2 guys there that don't have that courage are trash in his eyes.

Still sounds whiny of him though.

No you did not get the hankerchief part ... Remember the whole talk about the soul is worth nothing unless you do something productive to prove your worth, so basically Sora complemented her because unlike millions of useless people who are worth nothing her soul weighs as much as a hankerchief. There is a saying the goes like this "you get in return as much as you put in"

What O!G should do is go to Akira Toriyama-way of story-telling and roll with simplicity because the pseudo-poetry and hyper-metaphoric messages are killing the story.

I'm kinda confused. That time, when Minami gave Sora the Bagram, it should be the time when Sora already obtained the other Regalias from the other Kings, right? Why is he acting like he never had his hands on Bagram prior to that moment? Hmm... And also, Sora already have the Bagram when they pushed Gazelle to her death. Hmm....

I was wondering about that as well, Drylick. The already-established fact in the manga is that the Gravity Children already had their respective Regalia while they were in the Tower. But I guess Sora was saying it seems special because it already had the 20 cores he'd stolen from the other Gravity Children combined into it. And along with that, he'd also taken Gazellle's Thorn Regalia, to give to Rika. He had the Thorn Regalia's rune code, along with those of the other 20, plus the Wind's one. So he had 22 rune codes out of 28. That Bagram he got from Minami had the cores of the 20 Regalia he'd stolen combined into it along with the actual Wind Regalia core itself, which, as I said earlier, might be why he felt that it's a bit more special than the others.

@Toofly2fall: Thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated. But the saying you mentioned, I actually think it goes like this: "You reap what you sow". The meaning of it is the same as what you said. And the way you put it is similar to the quote from Fullmetal Alchemist about the first law of alchemy: "Human kind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost."; basically, the concept of "Equivalent Exchange".

Lol wtf is going on. Its becoming so hard to read this...i was looking forward to sora and ikkis showdown for years now...this is not what i was expecting. Oh well i'll just keep on sticking with it i guess. Ikki used to get a lot of shit for being a manchild but i think thats sora in spades.

Wtf with the timing of this flashback....i cant believe that this is "after" the gazelle thing. How'd they take her down but sora gets beat up by random anime thug group #62?

EDIT: anyone else getting digimon mc vibes from young sora with those goggles?

I have to say I agree with much of what has been said about this chapter and Sora's characterisation in recent chapters. I haven't been all that satisfied with this fight but that's only because I desperately wanted it to be Kazu and Ikki Vs Sora and Nike.

And i read Ikkis confession to Ringo, IMO i dont want those two together, Simca is much better for him xD or Kururu.

Definitely. Though, that's one of Sora's few good points, he has a nice sense of style. Those goggles were pretty cool.

It should have been explained and emphasized more clearly. If that Bagram already had the other cores, then their conversation should have been a bit different. Right? Like, Minami: Hey Sora, here's the Bagram with the other 20 cores in it. Now you can destroy the world! Hwahaha!

Oh that makes sense. He got beaten up because he doesn't have Bagram anymore since he gave it to Minami to assimilate the other cores in it. Makes sense. But still, their conversation should have been different. And also, I wanna see the flashback when the other Gravity Children still have their regalias. Before the time when Sora stole it from them.

Alright, and I have a feeling that because of this flashback, Ikki would speak and say something and he will be like Son Goku, saying, "Oh you know, the world isn't like that, this and that, you're mentality is bullshit, and I'll make you realize its worth, blah blah." And he'll power up like crazy. You know, like cliche thing for Shounen Manga. You've seen it many times before, like when the antagonist tells something about his past, why he became this and that, and then after that the hero just becomes (what do you call that) emotional, this and that, and boom! He just goes Super Saiyan, for the sake of mankind. Right? Agree with me.

1. Son Goku would never say something like that. Son Goku is a selfish guy who only cares about fighting a stronger opponent.

2. Ikki would say that because it's in his character to change peoples' views. Actually, that's what his whole character is meant to do.

3. Of course Ikki's due for a power-up. He just got a new pair of shoes.

So, what's up with Sora's A∙T? He's got Bagram back... Did he like, not actually switch up Regalia cores? Was he usin' Bagram the entire time, and just picked somethin' up from the case below to "complete" the Sky Regalia?

Tanaka plugman is freaking out so I assume that sora has activated the sky regalia... If that is the case then technically he just broke one of the rules (not that anyone can really stop him if they call him out on it).
