WSJ could increase the number of its series running for 22~23, because at this stage it will difficcult to find a new hit, because the new series dont have time to expand.

I really love this week cover of Assassination Classroom. It's not really embellished, but somehow it captures my attention immediately. I'm really looking forward to read it once the first chapter is up.

Probably you should contact those groups for confirmation whether they want to jump in to this project or not. Bulge was picked by RH 2 weeks after its debut, after all, so you still have time if you want to ask for confirmation.

It actually says that Mago will be seralized in the next three issues of jump next. I think August, October and December? Again, I'm at work and the pic is sorta freaking out. So I guess Mago's gonna get three 64 page installments to finish it's story or something like that. Makes sense they'd end it in Jump then....has any other series gotten that kind of treatment? It's one thing to get an issue of Jump next, but three?

I guess the main consideration for the editors is that Mago tankobons sales numbers are good. Besides of that, even though the fate of Mago's cancellation was predictable, the time of the cancellation was so sudden, so the extraordinary treatment ( 3 times x 64 pages = 180 pages? Worth 9 weeks of serialization) received by Mago is not really that strange, I think.

Not that I can recall, never more than one chapter. I suppose serializing the final volume in NEXT is a good alternative to simply ending, I assume ongoing serialization was not an option. Certainly a good way to prevent a reasonably popular manga from meeting the same fate as Shaman King.

It's kind of insane, but I'm happy Nura is getting an extra volume so that it will have a nice even 24-volume total. I hate it when series don't have a composite number of volumes. It's so appalling to see a series end with 19/23/29/etc. volumes.

^ Lol I get annoyed by volume numbers as well Though I prefer odd numbers as opposed to even ones. Numbers like 7, 13, 17, etc. look better to me for some reason.

Prime numbers look more special than those that aren't. Lot's of series end with the uneven "1". XD

I actually prefer volume numbers to be multiples of 5. Or if it's a very short series have it be 7 volumes long. I really like the number 7... xD

I'm glad that Mago is at least getting more than just one final chapter in NEXT to wrap up the series. The amount of pages of those three chapters are around the size of a regular tankobon right?

It sounds like the sequel will only be the conclusion of the Aoi Rasen-Jiu Saishuu Kessen (Aoi Spiral Castle's Final Battle) Arc. For whatever reason Shueisha is treating the Jump NEXT chapters as a sequel, akin to 21st Century Boys I suppose. Sasaki even felt the need to specify that the Jump NEXT chapters would be made available in English. It seems to me like a Shaman King situation, rankings could no longer justify serialization, the story was drawing to a close anyway, so they canceled serialization in Jump in favor of serializing the last volume in Jump NEXT.

I think that when compiled the Jump NEXT volume will not be numbered, but simply titled Nurarihyon no Maho: Aoi Rasen-Jiu Saishuu Kessen. Just a guess, but that is what I think they mean when they call it a sequel. It is going to be treated like Shin Prince of Tennis or 21st Century Boys, but since there will only be a single volume, they won't even give it a number. I've never seen a single volume series numbered.

You are getting your hopes up. The three Jump NEXT chapters are being referred to as a sequel by Shueisha.
