Fairy Tail RPG: Sign-up & Discussion

We'll be working together mostly, but there'll be plenty of times on missions where we get split up and have to work alone or smaller groups. We can try and work people's back stories into the plot of some of the missions, as often happens in the manga (like how we learnt Gray's history in the Galuna Island arc, Erza's during the Tower of Heaven arc, etc.)

If you have a specific way you want your character's story to unfold let me know and we can try to work it into the game. What did you have in mind?

Aside from the dragons disappearing, I can't really think of anything else at the moment .

We'll have more, the healing spell is just the first definite one.

EDIT: Actually, forget waiting for Sunday, I'm going to open the RPG thread now!! The first post will be long since it introduces a bunch of stuff, but not all my posts will be that long. Yours don't have to be that long, either. Rarhyx, lawlett-kun, hope you don't mind but I've appropriated your fight for the first post! ^_^

EDIT 2: I might still not be around much from Wednesday 'til Saturday or Sunday though, just so you's guys know.

Oh, and I keep meaning to ask and forgetting, but Rarhyx, RaveDragon, do Terry and Okami have the same weakness to transportation as Natsu, Gajeel and Sting (and probably Rouge)?

yes okami does but she usually uses her takeover wings on transport to avoid it xD so she'll initiate that and keep it on throuhout the train arc until landing, so she will be using only that and standard spells.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I must have missed that bit of your character profile. I think being able to move through conductible objects would be too powerful since you could travel uber-fast from place to place and dodge most attacks that way if you prepared properly. Sorry if I approved it, I shouldn't have done. ^_^'

EDIT: Don't worry about the Train Mission though; even if Terry's too sick to fight at first, the train will stop at some point lol. I'll make sure he gets as much action as everyone else.

If anyone's not come across the concept of Onmyoji before (it's what Junsei's powers and appearance are based on), then this is how Junsei dresses. The picture's from Shaman King by Hiroyuki Takei, in which one character is also based on Abe no Seimei.

Well I didn't say how fast he could move xD
for traveling I'd say it's just 50 km/h but he needs to prepare his body for traveling, so he can't use this speed in a fight
during a fight it's just 10 km/h or less (only to avoid attacks + can't spam it/has a cooldown of 5 minutes)

Instant teleportation to a safe place but takes a lot of magic power per person and has a great cooldown

Well I have plenty of ideas to develope Terry
One of the reasons why I mentioned Terrys's sister in my character bios xD
But I'm unsure if I'll include her in this RPG ^^

He can be called Shamshir Altair, but he's not at the Guild very much - he spends a lot of time traveling the world, learning about different kinds of weapons.

The other S-Class Mage is called Athena Ganlander. She's also away from the Guild a lot, searching for rare Celestial Spirit Keys. Apart from those facts and very basic personalities, I haven't fleshed them out very much yet but they won't appear for a while so I guess it doesn't matter much right now; I'll add them to the character list anyway.

Boom, Guild Spell Number Two right there!

It would be a very powerful spell, but it would exhaust the user's Magic Power almost entirely, essentially making it one-use per day.

went and added a bit on Okami's childhood, I won't bring any fairy tail characters into the rpg but according to how mashima develops lucy and layla, ill develop Okami's story, and she'll be present only in her flashbacks, since they're magic is similar in a way i thought Lucy's mum was best to start her background story xD and might make an interesting partial past for her.

We need an offensive guild spell now :/ maybe like a spell that makes it seem like wild animals (the wild hunt makes me think of wolves or lions hunting) rampaging and 'obliterating the enemy xD

also for the guild stamp i suggest somthing related to the goddess of the sun Artemis or maybe like an animal that hunts in a pack like lions, wolves or if you want the prey a stag which was artemis' symbol animal.

if you check on wikipedia there's a lot of symbols involving her we could use

edit: I aslo put all new info on okami in my first post on her with her bio so i keep updating it and keep it simple =]

I agree, we've got a support/recovery Spell and a defensive/evasive one so and offensive one'd be good.

The name of the Guild actually comes from this, but I can't think of a symbol associated to that. I really like Greek mythology so I like the idea of using Artemis. I think a bow and arrow, a stag or the moon (or some combination of the three) would all be cool bases for a logo. I'll start doodling with those in mind. Thank yoooouuuu!! ^_^

My over active imagination is at your service =] well, yeah mythology rocks and artemis is one of the cool ones i know right i hope we get more info on layla soon she's very interesting xD

I will once I've got names for them. Maybe Wild Ride (for the teleportation one) and Wild... er, Heal? Lol, let me hear any ideas anyone has. They don't have to have 'Wild' in the name at all, they could just as easily have 'Hunt' in their names.

or more somtheing like a "hunting" animal ala tiger/wolf/lion/hawk/etc.
so it represents an hunting animal + hunter tools
