I've set up four members, one for each of us to do battle with. Just to clarify, going from the front of the two trains backwards, they're as followed:

Carriage 1: Gekko Trapper: Clay-Make Magic
2: Moncrom: Oil Magic
3: Clint Stallone: Gun Magic
4: ???:

Haha, yeah I stole the name from a program where some loser makes himself an alter-ego and picks the most macho name he can think of, lol.

I'm a little bit confused. Do we post the whole fight in one go or just break it into pieces?

Post what your character does as normal until the start of their fight. After that, post one action (or short series of actions - you don't have to have a different post for every time your character takes a step forward :P) at a time; I'll control the opponent, so I'll have them respond to each action in turn and they'll perform their own actions and attacks, naturally. More details can be found on the first post of this thread.

I'll also control the guards and the train driver (though they won't really be doing much anyway), but you guys feel free to plough through the unnamed members of Goblin Coin. There are about five or six to a carriage and they're all weak as hell.

This part of the RPG, where all the PCs fight for the first time, is where the most mistakes could be made, like performing what I consider over-powered moves, performing too many actions in one post on controlling the result of your attacks. But don't worry about it - post what you think is right and if anything needs altering I'll say so; this part of the RPG involves a learning curve for all of us so mistakes are only natural, and when these fights are done hopefully all the creases will be ironed out. ^_^


Oh yeah, when Sniff said "Get out of here", he meant by jumping onto the roof of the back carriage from where they are now.

wouldn't it be more fun if destiny (random number genertaor) gives us our opponents?

I hadn't thought of that, that could be an interesting way of doing things. RaveDragon, lawlett-kun, what do you think? I think there are three ways we could arrange the match-ups:

A) Destiny, ie. random number generator.

B) Everyone claim one.

C) Everyone just attack one.


EDIT: I had a huge word document with all the info on this RPG saved, including potential kinds of Magic, enemies, Guild Members, arcs. I've just realised I've deleted the contents of that document. I am not best pleased with myself. -_-

I deleted my novel once, it was pure torture =/ now i write it on paper before rewriting the final script on comp and saving it in various places xD i know the feels Tame

Damn, that must have been ten times worse! I usually write my stuff on paper first but then throw it away once its on my laptop - easier to edit that way.


Okay, well that's two votes for random generator out of a possible three (not including Ghan and myself since our fights have started), so I guess that wins. Want me to PM you your opponents so it's private, or post them here?

Think I've managed to compile most of what was lost; luckily most of it's either in this thread or in the Your Own Magic thread.

EDIT: Oh man, I'm actually really excited about fighting you all in the role of the bad guys lol.

EDIT 2: I've randomly generated some numbers and lawlett-kun, Alex will be fighting Moncrom, the user of Oil Magic. Rarhyx, Terry will be up against the mysterious figures cloaked figures.

One quick question tame :

Im confused about the setting. I thought we were inside the carriage . Can you explain how the basic layout of the train looks?

First of all, we're now dealing with two trains. Hopefully this diagram will make things clearer: Marvel at my Paint skills.

I've not bothered putting in the exact position of all the guards and Goblin Coin mooks.

In the case of Dante vs Clint, Dante is in a carriage of the bank train. Clint is in the opposite carriage of the Goblin Coin train firing through its open doors into the bank train (which has had most of its left side blown off).

Dante increased his hand grip to 400 Kg as he grabbed clint's pistols. With one squeeze, they were completely destroyed. Soon after he began to grip Clint's head.

Just so you know, Ghan, in certain circumstances I might count that kind of action as god-modding. You can post that you intend Dante to grab the pistols and attempt to crush them but you can't declare that he's succeeded; if you declared you'd performed a more difficult or powerful action I might not let the move through, or I might have the enemy avoid it somehow. In this case it doesn't matter because the action you've performed is completely plausible against this enemy but I thought I'd mention it for the future.
