They're hiding. At least Chelsea's been good domestically, so I can hold onto that.

I'm right here!!! :yelling

Yeah we lost... no different than last season...dominate, don't score, give away the ball and let other team score. And I've been saying this for years, but Pepe Reina is not a top goal keeper like everyone claims him to be and shot be dropped for Doni... two mistakes in 2 games. One that almost got us knocked out of Europe. I'll let him slide for the first goal, because it was a good low shot... but that second goal... he could have stopped that.
Suarez seems to have lost his first touch somewhere.... he hasn't been passing good either.

On the bright side, Allen was superb,Sahin looks rather comfortable and Sterling is just an amazing young talent. YNWA!!!

There are bright points, but the main problem is that you're owned by Americans who know nothing about football and bought people like Stewart Downing for 20m and Andy Carroll for 35m. I can't explain why Roman paid 50m for Torres, nor why he didn't swap him for Falcao, or a host of other things, but this is about Liverpool wasting money, not Chelsea.

The owners didnt buy that crap though. They gave the transfer budget. That stupidity rests on Daglish and his backroom staffs shoulders.

Why, Gary? If you're going to pick a team, at least pick a worthwhile club, of which Spurs are not. AVB's found a way to screw up another club.

I've supported Chelsea since before Abramovich, and that's been a long time. A lot of Americans became United fans because they were the first team that was really publicized in America. Spurs though, really?

This... the owners have nothing to do with that. They gave the money, but Dalglish and the guy in charge of transfers fucked up.

Torres will get back his form, don't worry. Chelsea couldn't care less about Falcao before that 5-1 trashing, because he wasn't at a "big" club. They spent money on rebuilding their midfield, which was sort of a good idea, but neglected the defensive and forward areas that needed to be addressed. I'm still not convinced of them yet... even if they did win their first 3 games.

Why would so carelessly open yourself up to ridicule?
I was kidding. I like to see American Internationals do well. I did enjoy watching them play because of Bale and Modric....but now...yeah

It was only 4-1, which isn't as bad. :P

Well, we were offered Falcao for Torres plus 15m, which isn't at all a bad deal, and considering what Falcao showed against us on Friday, that would be a super deal. Roman must have super faith in Torres though. I'm disappointed that we didn't bring in another striker though and we even loaned out Essien, which only serves to weaken our depth.

There were big questions during the Reading match. Until we solidify things, the best we can hope for is third, I think.

Okay then. Dempsey will probably have an up and down season and Brad Friedel got ditched in favor of Hugo Lloris, the French national team keeper.

Bale's still there at least for this year, but I expect him to move on next summer.

Torres for Falcao would have been the best transfer Chelsea did all season... he would destroy any defense right now, since he's rated as the third best player in the world. And I must say, even if I'm not a Chelsea fan, I'm glad Di Mateo rebuilded the team...because before, they were the most boring "big" club in the EPL to watch. No playing style whatsoever.... so I'm glad he sort of changed the playing style there.

It's not the fact that Roman was faith in Torres, but the fact that he paid so much money for him that he refuses to let him be a flop after only 1 season.

fuck this ... it's official Hulk on Zenit ... and just like last year, we ended selling an important player without hiring anyone to take it's place ... we have 3 really talented players ... Iturbe, Atsu and Kelvin ... but they are only kids. And if our coach keeps like this, he will still keep giving chances to Varela, someone doesn't give much any more to the team, over some of these players .... i will be extremely disappointed if our champions's "tour" it's like last year's.

The market is like this ... it's a shame ... but Porto once again proved why we are a great team .. year after year we sell our important players, and almost always manage to keep on the top teams of Europe ... Hulk, Falcao,Deco, Lisandro, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho, Bosingwa, Lucho, Anderson ... not to talk about the coaches, like Mourinho or AVB (though AVB left too early and for now only his pocket should be happy) ... not to talk about players like Fernando, Moutinho, James Rodriguez we still have and are definitely top tier players !

Boswinga played well as a spot RB in the CL Final. :awesome:

Seriously though, you're right. His talent really never materialized.

Bosingwa in his first season at Chelsea was a class apart though. Im quite happy his form didnt hold and he got injured that many times.

Imo, he was playing in the wrong position. He's a very attack minded player, which is sometimes good to have in a RB, but only if they can actually recover after going forward, which he sucked at. He sometimes made very stupid runs leaving a huge gap in their defense... especially when Luiz came in.

I agree, he is a player that works incredibly well in specific systems. His best form came when the really attack minded Scolari was in charge. He bombed forward and gave the team width and options while his defensive lapses were covered by others. Once Scolari was sacked, he was not given as much freedom and had more defensive duties. It was not his forte and he had no one covering his mistakes every time he rushed forward. When he got injured and Ivanovic converted to rightback, Chelsea suddenly had a defender that could defend and keep the structure of the back four intact. That was more important to them than the attack minded Bosingwa.

A similar situation occurred with Eboue and Sagna. Sagna was the more solid defender even if Eboue was better going forward. Eventually Eboue became like bosingwa, a bit part player until he moved on a couple of seasons later.

Still Bosingwa in his first 6 months in England scared the living daylights out of me. >_>

I'm sad that Hulk left Porto and specially to go to Russia... I wanted him on england or spain.

Still hoping Porto can win this year CL :shakefist
It's never too late to dream right?

Sadly year after year they let me down on CL...
