I dont read the manga but I've seen nearly all of the anime / ovas. One of the recent ovas had Fuji and his brothers match. It was pretty interesting.

Ah, who knows anymore. Eventually, we'll get a season two, but probably not until at least the Spring 2013 season.

Yeah probably the latter. Technically, Niou never hits a stroke in that form either since he collapses right away. It doesn't really seem like something that would be changed either, but I guess you could have said that about various other things as well.
The volume release dedicated four pages to it and iirc also featured a small convo between them in which Fuji brags that he could beat all of Atobe, Tezuka and Shiraishi. I'm not sure why that wasn't in the OVA actually, it sounds like something they'd include (or did they?).
If they wait until all DVD sets for season one are released, a second season would start around May at the earliest, given the current schedule at least.
