Why Gin no Saji #5 is here ? Gin no Saji #5 officially will go on 18. October o.O I know there are examples of selling volumes earlier (Detective Conan #77 officially goes on sale on 18.September) but one month earlier ?! It's first time I see something like this...

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Gin no Saji is likely based on preorders.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

good Chihayafuru Ahiru no Sora

Long time no see Ao no exorcist is good ...?

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Bleach did well. Almost 500k. By the end of its run should be around 600-650k.

[Zeromcd]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Bleach did well.

This is the second/third lowest selling Bleach volume since oricon started recording sales data.

[m3loo]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

isn´t it volume 18 for Chihayafuru and not 28?

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

This is the second/third lowest selling Bleach volume since oricon started recording sales data.

It's decent when compared to the "post time skip" setting sales. The overall sales will slowly pick up once people realize the final arc is actually good. People left the manga cause of Fullbring arc so they will come back eventually at one point for this arc. And a total volume sales of 650k ain't no joke.

when people stop reading a manga its hard to pull them back. I don´t think bleach will ever be as popular as before. also the weekly shounen jump ranking is just bad for bleach.

Tell that to HXH lol.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

I think he means moreso when a manga peaks and popularity starts to decline.

Can anyone think of a manga that made a big comeback after going down? Without something like a movie or anime or drama? Besides something that went on long hiatus.

Edit: I guess Reborn is kind of an example. I'm sure there are other ones in Jump where they went down. Usually it's after animes and stuff end and the editorial department stops trying to push it.

it is not gin no saji written by arakawa hiromu. that manga is gin no spoon written by Mari Ozawa. shocking coincidence isnt it

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Oooooh. Okay that's weird. Two series having an almost identical name like that running at the same time with the same volume number... I wonder how many people accidentally bought that thinking they found Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) out early.
