So you're saying that you don't want the return of Torres? As long as it's not a overrated, overpriced player in the EPL, its all good.

Fuck youWhat like Carroll?![]()

I rather have Del Piero or Hesky than Torres right now :SWhat? Torres was great at LFC... if Gerrard was fit most of the season he would have scored a lot more goals. Suarez and Torres up front together would have been the best striking partnership since Yorke and Cole in the EPL.Torres is fricking great! He just never suited Liverpool imho.
Now Torres x Suarez would've been the most fecking incredible pairing upfront for you guys ever! I actually wanted to see that happen but good old chelski changed things around again.

Crouch

Well, even though I like Spain referee was mostly their 12th player as always, especially in the first half, when France scored a goal...
Not as good as in Atleti, but stiil.
Yeah, it was even worse than the 8-2 hammering in a way, because at least Arsenal created some stuff in that match.Arsenal's worst match I've seen in a LOOOONG time. Podolski sucked and Mannone... we seriously need a great keeper, one with experience (although I would love to see more of my compatriot Martínez).
It was a lot of consistent small referee errors that really annoyed me.Um, Imp, pardon me, but I don't exactly recall what went wrong in the match. Would you mind refreshing my memory?
Hohoho, as an Arsenal fan I can tell you "playing for Arsenal" is not exactly the barometer of quality it use to be. But then again being danish you know about Bendtner and his frustrating performances.@kakashi919: Yeah, I'm guessing he'll start against FCN. Doesn't change the fact that he used to play for Arsenal so he should have some potential. He's not exactly excellent but Juve strikers aren't exactly setting the bar very high
The man is a born hypocrite and the media lap it up. They play rough and tumble "hard honest football" and they "never go out to injure anyone". The faster they were relegated the better the whole league would be. A thug club, with thug fans, from a shit city. I really dislike them. Speaking of that though, the Guardian has this blog called Said & Done, which simply posts contradictory/hypocritical or funny quotes made by people in football. Some of them are absolute gems, especially when there is a big newstory.Remember, when Tony Pulis' players do something, it's all fair, but when the opposition does it, "Whoa now, people. You can't be making rough tackles, dive, or make intentional handballs." I was quite amused with Crouch's handball a week or two before Pulis went crazy on Ivanovic for the dive.
When Shawcross crushed Ramsey, Pulis was like, "Hey, things happen. Shawcross is not a dirty player." Someone tackles a Stoke player harshly, and Pulis whines.
Ankle injury. He came back then relapsed if I recall correctly. Fabianski is also out. So our next in line to Mannone is Martinex that Hardy mentioned, who is pretty promising.Well, the strange thing is that Wenger didn't go for Lloris over the summer. What's the deal with Szeceny (however you spell his name) anyway? An injury?
Kind of late to get back to me on this one, but okay.It was a lot of consistent small referee errors that really annoyed me.
That's definitely true. Bendtner's had some good performances, even if they weren't in an Arsenal shirt.Hohoho, as an Arsenal fan I can tell you "playing for Arsenal" is not exactly the barometer of quality it use to be. But then again being danish you know about Bendtner and his frustrating performances.

Exactly. Who do you think is worse? Tony Pulis or Joey Barton? The man is a born hypocrite and the media lap it up. Ah, I see. I still don't understand why Wenger didn't want to personally instruct the French national keeper Lloris, but...Ankle injury. He came back then relapsed if I recall correctly. Fabianski is also out. So our next in line to Mannone is Martinex that Hardy mentioned, who is pretty promising.
Danish? more like Spanish!!!! Haha, well, Arsenal is actually pretty good at making superstars but they're retarded enough to let them go. And all of Denmark adore Bendtner and praise every single one of his performance. Watching Juve matches in TV with Danish commentators means you'll hear every once in a while how they wonder why Bendtner hasn't gotten more than 8 minutes of play etc.It was a lot of consistent small referee errors that really annoyed me.

Apologies. I sometimes let posts build up and then read it all at once. >.>Kind of late to get back to me on this one, but okay.
I dont know. But I dont think its a fair example, they are both different kind of contemptuous. Barton knows who he is and his reputation, he makes no qualms about the fact. Pulis is a different though, he is a huge hypocrite and I think his philosophy is more damaging to English football more than anything Barton could do. The ideological commitment to things like power, speed, strength and intangibles like "heart and desire" coupled with the long ball football has done a lot to negatively damage the game since the 70's. The extremes of this ideology is epitomised in men like Pulis, Allardyce etc who I find worse than simple thugs than Barton.Exactly. Who do you think is worse? Tony Pulis or Joey Barton?
To be perfectly honest I am not sure either, I know he rates him so...The only thing stopping him maybe was he trusted szces but most fans agreed with him on that one. It would stunt szces development when he is already playing to an good level and improving every game (as he was last season). Nobody expected to be out, but I dont think its too big of a problem as long as he doesnt relapse again and gets quickly back to the level he was at before.Ah, I see. I still don't understand why Wenger didn't want to personally instruct the French national keeper Lloris, but...
Ahh...Bendtner is a bit of a joke now in England. His (amusing) arrogance coupled with frustrating form has made him a love/hate him player. Though the love side are very few and far between. He will be sold by Arsenal though, almost definitely though. His stint at Juventus is just a hope that his transfer fee will inflate so they could sell him at a profit. Similar to Armand Traore.Danish? more like Spanish!!!! Haha, well, Arsenal is actually pretty good at making superstars but they're retarded enough to let them go. I'm afraid it'll go back to no covering of the Juve matches like the past years if this goes on.
Of course they put a bus in front of their box, but well the difference in the level of players gives them the moral right to do it. And Juve barely managed to draw against them.
I fell asleep and didn't see any of the matches, but yes some surprising results. Especially the Juve game... I really hope they get their shit together and win the rest of their games, to see them get knockout in group stage would be quite dissappointing. Looking forward to the Arsenal vs Shalcke game today, should be a really exciting one.Well, yesterday's Champions League matches were damn surprising. Especially Nordshelland against Juve. I absolutely didn't expect this game to end in a draw, especially since Juventus is currently quite good in Serie A, but danish team made a great performance on their pitch.Of course they put a bus in front of their box, but well the difference in the level of players gives them the moral right to do it. And Juve barely managed to draw against them.
Another surprising result was in the game between Shaktar against Chelsea. Not only did Shaktar win, but they dominated Chelsea most of the time. The difference in terms of statistics was enormous, especially in terms of shots and shots on goal. Quite a briliant game. And now in this group we really have an unexpected leader. Of course the next game between Chelsea and Shaktar will decide if not everything for Chelsea, but at least for Shaktar it might be quite a desisive, especially since then they will play their next match against Nordshelland and can qualify after that if they don't loose to Chelsea. Also they play with Juve at home, so they do have a great chance of qualifing to the 1/8th of Champions.
Also the match that surprised me was Barca against Celtic. Barca wasn't the usual one. It was quite straightforward and not as creative as it normally is. Of course they might have understimated Celtic a bit, but they barely managed to win, mostly due to the referee who added too much time for the second half and they scored only on the last minute.
So now I hope we might see some interesting results today.![]()
