That's not a serious fight.
Garp the Hero will have to use one of his Punches of Love and Fukaboshi will be out for sure. The guy who was equal to Sengoku and managed to push Roger sometimes can't have any problems in such a fight.
Not even talking about a real possibility of Haki usage or Rokushiki as it doesn't seem needed here.

he didn't push roger, it was stated, that garp cornered roger pretty much everytime, but he somehow managed to escape, much life smoker/luffy.

Well, to actually corner someone you have to push him to some limit, otherwise you can't corner the one who is stronger than you are...
And well, I wouldn't call Luffy's and Smoker's situation the same as Roger had with Garp. It seems to be different for now.

Current Luffy seems to be, but the one before timeskip - no. Especially since he couldn't hit Smokey due to not being able to perform Haki inbuded attacks.
Also about the fight. It seems it would be one of the most one-sided fights in this Tournament, especially since if Fukaboshi isn't around big ammounts of water, then he won't have a chance to perform his strongest attacks, while Garp seems to need one punch to finish the fight.
