Re: Everything All The Time

I think them having no homefield advantage is a bit of an exaggeration. They do tend to have great home records, though that hasn't resulted in great performances in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Ryan and Mike Smith lose next week and remain winless in the postseason.
I don't think the Falcons can beat the Seahawks. The Falcons did not look good down the stretch, usually a bad sign in the playoffs. Seattle reminds me the Giants last year (or Green Bay in 2010, Pittsburgh in 2008), the wild card team that got hot late in the year, and carries that into the playoffs.

Atlanta always has a good record at home, but that's not the same as having a home field advantage. No one is intimidated playing in the Georgia Dome. It's not like Lambeau Field, Heinz Field, or the Link in Seattle. I don't think playing at home in the playoffs is much of an advantage for the Falcons.

Yeah but...but....

I have a natural, angry reaction to people who know nothing about sports talking about it. Or, at least, it depends on the person and how well I know them. I guess it's elitist.
While I too despise idiots talking about things they don't know, you know him well enough to understand what he's doing, and that it is best to ignore the little troll. That or troll him back.

What do you make of this James Andrew nonsense? Why was he at the game in the first place?
I have no clue. I really had no idea he was on the sidelines until this story broke. Wouldn't surprise me if Snyder pays him to be on the game day medical staff. I also would not put it past the Redskins to do something shady like ignore medical advice. That's how the Redskins operate. We all know Snyder is shady, and shady things seem to happen around Redskins park. The Nationals where the white hat around here, the Redskins the black hat. The Nationals beat writer even tweeted about how much better the Nationals decision to shut Strasburg down looks now, after watching how the Redskins treated RGIII.

You act too elitist, and you namecall me over every little thing. You overreact more than alkaline and halogen put together.
:teehee

How long did it take you to think up that shitty little analogy?

Hmm, I suppose so. They do get the benefit of playing indoors though. I would usually say that is a tradeoff, but they have homefield throughout, and the Super Bowl is in the SuperDome. They won't need to get acclimated to playing outdoors. They won't need to deal with the cold of Lambeau, or the noise in Seattle.

They don't have history on their side at all, but after seeing how flat Seattle came out on defense tonight, I don't think they can get away with the same kind of performance against Atlanta, on the turf.

Yikes, calm down. I think they're headed in the right direction. It reminds me of myself and Angelos.

I'm not sure if drawing a parallel between the Strasburg thing and this makes much sense. Yeah, it's about how an organization handles player health, but the comparison ends there for me. But if more weird things come out, it'll be something to think about.
