I'm quite surprised that this Video Game childboards hasn't got a thread about Resident Evil so I'm starting it anyway.


Here you can discuss anything about the game, it's plot (just tag it as spoiler) and any news that maybe available for the series.


So far, I have played almost all of the Resident Evil Series save Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil Outbreak 2 (this is AFAIK). Though I haven't read the novels of this series, me and my brother created a plot analysis of this game. if you'd like to check it out, I'll post the link here.

ive got resident evil 4 for the GC, i am just up to chapter 3.
The main character is Leon.

Whoa! Resident Evil 4 kinda combines, tactical espionage and survival horror. But it's more inclined to tactical espionage if you ask me.

I recently re-played RE4 just for the heck of it and it never did tire me out! Leon was "cooler" than all of the previous protagonists of the series

another opening chapter in the world of RE. Just when you wanted to see Umbrella going down the drain, here comes another installment to dig out the remains of Umbrella and revive it for another terror. Personally, I think they are trying to prolong the life of RE by doing this since, it is clear that they could have ended everything after the incident in Raccoon City. I mean, they could have had made a Resident Evil 4 which is a direct sequel of the previous games. But no! Their ingenuity made them extend the game in a less subtle manner, not naming this revival "Resident Evil: Forever" but "Resident Evil 4"

Resident Evil 4 scares the shit out of me, even so think it is the best Resident Evil game ever ^_^

resident evil is my favorite series, so i was just blown away by RE4.....it is now my favorite game! i cant wait to see what RE 5 is gonna be like ;P

And here I am still waiting if RE0 is going to be released for PS2 or PS3 coz I don't have a GC.

resident evil 0 is only going to be for gc, because gc is basically a dead console anyways.....im not dissing on it or anything, hell, i have one. .....its just that it isnt as popular as other consoles......and i have played RE0, and it is AWESOME!

Well, I could still wish. I remeber Resident Evil 1 having a remake exclusive for...was that Dreamcast or Saturn? I forgot.

So I'm still crossing my fingers!

the remake was for gamecube, the game was originally made for ps1

There was an RE1 for Dreamcast or Saturn I think. Sorry it's not a remake. But I'm sure they released RE1 in either one of those consoles.

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles is gonna be awesome and hopefully Capcom will also make RE 5 for the wii.

Resident Evil 5 is only for PS3 and 360 right now. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles is only for Wii.

yea I can't wait for 5 to come out on PS3 have any of you seen the trailers.

I loved 4 it was beautiful

regardless of where they come out, I still can't get them. I need a few months to save up for the console alone. the game's another thing.

My favorite Re of all time is probably. RE2 (because i played it many times).

But i like Re: Zero and Resident 1 Remake.

I want to see Resident 5 so badly (i hope it is released early). I hope it's good as Resident 4.
