The thing is I think Departure fits the entirely of Hunter x Hunter if you look at the lyrics.

Much to my dismay, I have a feeling they're going to keep it. Just because the "tone" of Chimera Ant Arc is different, doesn't mean anything. They kept it for Yorknew, there's nothing stopping them from changing it for the Ant Arc.

I would definitely like a new opening or an edgier version of Departure, but that's just me and my opinion. It works for GI right now with it's OP sequence, though.

If not, it would be proper to change it to a darker version, though only really later...

Yes this is true. It all spawns from his infamous walk out at the height of YuYu Hakusho's popularity. He put Shueisha in their place and now they are Togashi's bitch.

I'd say that his personality is probably most close to a Transmuter. The characters of Killua and Hisoka often have moments of author insertion. He seems to relate most to those two characters, so I imagine he would be a Transmuter, a fickle person that likes to play mind games.

He probably would be a conjurer. He's quite imaginative after all.

But I agree with the Transmuter option. Fits him well. That calls another question: In what he would transmute his aura?

That might be true, but there is already an anime thread where the same discussion is on going (although to a lesser degree) with some posts containing the exact same thing. Given how there is already an anime thread, and there is already a hangout, I fail to see what other news that could be posted here other than mange related or so. If you do have some non-anime related news to post here, then by all means, do feel welcome (tankobon release dates, interviews with Togashi about the manga etc).

If not, then there is no reason to split up a discussion into two separate threads.
