ok ok the only reason why im so agonizing right now is because Hoshino is too cruel to us reader for left us hanging on Timcanpy's fate. I could care less for other character.

This might not be the best idea because Hoshino is rather shy and reserved, but I hope she has a Twitter account or something so she can let us know what's up. We're all concerned for her health as fans, and it would be nice if we can get direct confirmation from her instead of speculating from the TOC.

I really do hope she recovers soon. At this point I want her to work on DGM when she's at her best instead of feeling obliged to pull off a new chapter.

*Second side-note: Hoshino-sensei's staff is anxious since they want to work so they start making a giant fundraiser to make her get better quicker*
*Third side-note: Hoshino-sensei's current editor comes and tracks me down in order to put a stop to this sorrowful horrible fan-chat*

Ok, back to reality. I see that someone over at the DGM MF board thinks past!Allen's name wasn't Allen. Uh... Great. *flexes hands* Time to set some thing right here.... *flees*

For a moment I almost took it seriously and freaked out about another DGM-less month. I don't think my dear old heart could handle the shock.


And it's possible that past Allen's name isn't Allen. Although I could see how it could be worked into the story that it was his name after all.

Sorry sorry to both of you, but I had to do a little reverse psychology here. Apparently, it worked as a couple of hours after that post, DGM was confirmed. Jump's HQ has been spared.

As for Allen, the minute Nea wondered why Allen was "like that", that was a confirmation to me that Allen has to be his real name. (Other than Cross wondering why Red didn't call himself "Allen".) However, to continue this discussion would be reserved for the chapter discussion threads so I'll just leave as such. ^^; Hehe...

The past Allen will have the same name, its probably why the dog Mana took care off was Named Allen it was in memory of the previous and thats why Mana didn't argue with Allen when he started to call himself that.

I can't help but notice how Embalming is listed as being on hiatus, yet D.Gray-man isn't even listed. If this is yet another hiatus, why is there no official word of it? But on the bright side, at least there is no mention of it being dropped. Yet.

^ Because Jump SQ doesn't know whether DGM will go on hiatus or not. Nothing has been decided yet. They ask us to wait for more news.

It says there's no DGM in the current issue (and apologies for that) AND that it's unknown when there will be a new DGM chapter. (In other words, they don't know if DGM will appear in the next issue or the one after that etc.)

Entering hell again. What a nightmare!
Well, right now i'm considering that Hoshino is under a 6 months treatment. So i expect 2 more editions without DGM.
Let's hope that i'm wrong and we get a chapter in the next issue.

@Asclepius: Thanks for the update in the Hangout thread. Does it mean something that DGM is listed as "absent" instead of on a hiatus? I suspect that's making me hopeful than it should, as it sounds more temporary. Really does seem like she's just in need of extra time to finish the projects that have piled up for her while she's minding her condition. ^_^;

The guys here in the forum usually use hiatus when it's officially announced that the series will take more than just a one chapter break.
Absent is used for unexpected lack of a chapter or when it's a one chapter break.

But seriously, the notice in the last issue already showed signs of hiatus, no one knows when DGM will be back.
I don't think that she's working in the mecha anime and the one shot (probably, but not confirmed) now, i think they were done many months ago, but they are being revealed now.

Well, i will keep getting tortured with Lavi's seiyu in Kuroko no Basket while this hell doesn't end.

Ahhh... I see. Well I had a look back at the link to Oberon's post from the other thread and in the Japanese (which I can read, with some effort), it doesn't mention either of the absent manga (D.Gray-Man, Gate 7) at all (and yes, I checked for the Japanese names). Actually it doesn't even have Kishimoto's name (for Mario). Guess we're just waiting on an official announcement then. But I hope it won't be too long until it picks up again.
