the fact that Krypton posed as an advanced planet yet his dad's preferred method of transportation was a lizard-looking creature?
or that the parents couldn't have thought of flying with the baby for more chances of survival? (honestly, when "Kal" asked this question to his dad (which I couldn't even understand HOW that happened), it was not addressed).
Or the helmets failing.
Or the imaginative 3d presentations of daddy and Zodd to make their point across
Or the lack of chemistry between Lois and Clark
Or that everybody just sort of knew what Krypton was about after a while
or...

or...

Aaaaaargh. Seriously, the trailers had so much buildup about emotional connections, or internal sufferings, or identity crises and humanity. But then the movie was like, where did that direction go??? Christopher Nolan? Really? All the skill in character development on the DK trilogy- did that spring from nowhere???

Now You See Me was pretty good, kept me thinking throughout but the twists weren't really fantastic...predictable at parts but overall a pretty enjoyable film.
Wow, looks like Man of Steel did bad.

Just saw Man of Steel yesterday. I enjoyed it, but I did feel he action scenes were a bit cartoony and hard to follow at times. I did feel michael shannon did a great job at portraying zod even though the character itself was a bit lacking, and Henry Cavill ain't bad to look at Overall it was enjoyable but I hate how some people make it out to be the best movie in the world and continue to hate on marvel movies :/ Can't we love them both!

Are you serious i thought it was one of the funnest movies of the summer yes the trailer had a different vibe but I always wanted a movie like this. You say the action was cartoony but I feel that's the way it needed to be(just like the comics).
I must also wonder how many people didn't understand his confliction already.I think some people just wanted another deep Superman film but what's the point of having such powerful characters if they're not gonna display their greatness? I still wish there was his super breath but I can wait.

there was just a major problem with the pace of the movie, and the development not of the characters themselves, but the relationships between them that were not played out well. I mean, sure I could be up for some awesome moments and super powers and showing off and badass-ness. But the cheesy lines tipped the scale.

Hmm I see where your coming from in regards to the development between characters. I didn't feel much chemistry between Supes and Lois Lane but what can you do. But I really did enjoy the movie, it was fun despite its flaws and I will watch it again no doubt. Hopefully we see more devolpment between the pair in man of steel 2

Not sure if you think Chris Nolan directed Man of Steel or not, babs, but in case there's confusion he's only a producer/script writer. I haven't seen it yet so I can't judge, but the movie can have a fantastic set of producers and an amazing script, but if the director doesn't bring the goods it can turn out crap regardless. If Man of Steel is worse than expected it's not Nolan's fault necessarily. He's without a doubt an amazing screenplay writer, producer and director.

At another note, I watched the newest Die Hard movie recently. Worst movie I've seen in a long, long time. Way to kill the series. Everything was terrible in the movie, including Bruce Willis' acting which was beyond awful. John turned into a side-kick for his son. It was A Good Day to Die Hard for the series indeed. May we not see another.

If anyone is going to see Man of Steel in hopes it'll compared to the Dark Knight trilogy because Christopher Nolan is attached to it, then don't; you're wasting your time. This is a Zach Snyder film, if you're familiar with any of his films then you'll spot this immediately.

Oh btw, if like me you're not all that familiar with the comic books, here's some easter eggs from the books that were nodded to in the film and like me, maybe you missed them or weren't aware of it. It may also help answer a few questions IF YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIE.

Yeah. It was enjoyable. I laughed a few times. But I didn't sit there thinking "Dang, what a movie!!". Especially when I consider all the buzz around it.
For a movie to be able to make someone sit there for almost three hours and not be bored is quite a feat, but it kinda lacked something for me. Something that would make me praise the movie and go all 'YAY' for it. DiCaprio was amazing, though. Once he entered he immediately outshined Waltz and Jamie Foxx.

I think Waltz and DiCaprio were on a whole other level. Great performances. Jamie Foxx was good, but sort of one-note and doesn't have the gravitas to really make that kind of role outstanding, a la Steve McQueen or Charles Bronson.

Have you seen other Tarantino films? I guess people compare it to his other works.

I watched Pulp Fiction, some of Kill Bill and Inglourious Basterds. They were outstanding in their own way. Django just wasn't as good. (Though I guess that only counts for Inglourious Basterds, as I haven't completely watched Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction didn't really have that big a plot...)

Inglourious Basterds is the only film of his I've yet to see.

Pulp Fiction doesn't have a big plot technically, but how it's constructed is part of it's charm. You should see Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs as well, they're always overlooked.
