Wtf xD That's like what I've heard about LoL, everyone just pushes his lane, no one groups together to push. Of the preliminaries I've watched 3 games today, in all 3 ranged carries were picked (Moon Queen, and in 2 games Gyrocopter).

I will educate you. There's a "laning phase" and a "team fighting phase", the laning phase lasts from 10-15 minutes where people basically grind up some items and try to gain advantages over the enemy. Ganks happens from the junglers, people roam etc, so there's still lots of action.

What you are talking about, is that DotA is an ARAM, LOL. "EVERYONE PUSH MID ALL DAY OLOLOLOL".

At around 15 min the team naturally starts grouping and taking objectives as a group of 5, though lanes still need to be pushed obviously as otherwise you lose map pressure and become more open for invades. Basically you need to keep you lanes pushed so the other team doesn't gain momentum and pressure. This is so obvious dude and you look like such a troll bashing LoL for having lanes that need to be pushed. The same shit should apply to DotA, but oh wait it's an ARAM game from what you've said, am I right? Btw ARAM = All random all mid. It's an expression for all going mid even if the champions aren't random. Basically it's associated with noobs dying a lot and the game degrading into an assload of pointless and bad fights.

What Dotarians/Honners say about LoL is that the whole game is a laning phase. LoL'ers never reach that part where they think hmm, let's push together now. Only when their base is reached they'll group up to defend. Also there are many more strategies than lane phase for 15 min then teamfight, come on, even you should know that. My favorite is rat.dota

And ARAM is.. well, it's never played. Only "mid" mode so far is 1v1 (where it allows dupilcate pick).

As a guy who played DotA 1 for three years, the new DotA's overall design just looks too artificial for my eyes. I don't know why, but it seems DotA 2's character designs are something that I need to get used to for a while. Hell, even when I started LoL, I had pretty similar complaint, but at least now LoL is more familiar to my eyes.

My bro used to play HoN, he also complained extensively about the graphics of Dota 2(they are too cartoonish, he said, why would I play something that looks only slightly better than LoL, he said). Now that he's switched to Dota2 for 3 weeks, he's more than used to it. Just seems that different graphics seem to bug most people out for some reason.

LoL is very rarely "pure laning for 15 minutes". Most often there'll be plenty of roaming, group skirmishes, blablablabla all the time. Jeez it's too much to mention and speaking to your ignorant brick wall makes me dizzy. Not worth.

Lol, your semester pretty much ends when mine begins. I've not been that busy really, just been doing other stuff. Plus I was in Portugal for two weeks. I still got vacation until September however, though I normally resume studies in August. There's just no subjects that interest me in August so I skip out.

Any holiday plans?

Plans, not really. At hometown with family now, so enjoying time with them and with friends from junior/senior high. And playing games. And sleeping and eating.

Well we have rather "fixed program" the first year, but after that we start being able to chose more and more subjects. At Master's you pretty much select all your subjects, although you e.g. only have 15 subjects to choose from and have to e.g. chose 5 (just random numbers).

I don't know. I haven't tried DotA 2 yet, but I can't imagine the gameplay being better at this point. LoL simply has a too large headstart to evolve the production of champions and what they can do. It's so dynamic. But don't know really. This is such a discussion with persons lacking knowledge that it really is silly. No point. While you have played LoL you don't know crap about it. Let's say you know 5% while I know 1% of DotA.

The only anime I watched as a child was DBZ, and only on television in Portugal, as it didn't run in Norway. Probably too violent I'd guess. We only had stuff like Pokemon and Digimon.

Yeah, but I like shifting really. But I actually prefer having little to do, and being able to do whatever I want ^^ Though it's nice with some busy weeks too. Or "busy" as I was mostly just having fun after all.

I don't really want to go to Japan because of the manga, though it obviously has affected me somewhat. I was already fascinated by the Japanese culture before I got into manga. It's somewhat a happy coincidence that manga is Japanese.

I liked the Korean singer. She was nice.
