Interesting TOC this week. Was kind of hoping Bleach was really towards the bottom but at least most of what I care about is above it minus Nisekoi. Also nice to see World Trigger ranked 6th. The latest string of chapters has been really interesting so it deserves the boost in the rankings. Hopefully the sales for volume 2 actually chart this time so we have a better idea of how where it's standing right now. Going by some of the author's comments it seems like JUMP may have underestimated volume 1 and gave it a low print run.

Also curious to see what the "big news" is. While it may be an anime adaption I don't know if it's necessairly an announcement related to something currently running in the mag since it seems like they would just say what series is getting the announcement. Guess we'll see what it is though.

does they need to know how well the special episode is received. the manga already is a huge hit. even a bad anime would sell like hot shit. the money printing is already clear as day.

the special announcement could be something far less important. a crossover again or some new game in development about a series or jump in general. it could also be something like a world wide release or smartphone app with sheishua content.

Well, yeah the manga is a huge hit but why stop it there if the response they'd get from this gives them the hint that they can get more from this? In the end, it is business.

And yeah, as far as the announcement is concerned, it could also be something far less important. Still, its fun to speculate :P

Maybe, since One Piece is taking absent and there is no one shot to take over, the editors decide to extend the ongoing series.

I thought they said that since the second printing of it was quite large (well the comment in one of the chapters)

Sad to see Nisekoi in Bottom 5, but with anime announced it isn't in danger at all, seems like that japaneses didn't like the arc about Maiko, the only reason that makes it possible, a beggining of a arc. Problably it will rise soon, stil within this arc or after.
Haikyuu!! already have a few bad rankings but it isn't in danger immediately, depends on how new series will be. Also, the popularity poll was announced in chapter 49, in its 1st anniversary, this is the results.

About the big news, no clue, but I can say it isn't HxH return, it isn't a big news anyway, not to make that splurge.
It can have relation only with one series, but the way that is was announced make me think that it was about the magazine as a whole.

Thanks, I didn't remember. It's too soon for a new one, in terms of story we saw only the match between Aobajousai till some chapters ago between Ferbuary and now. What they are planning?
I think too early for a anime, but with all this promotion it is the only thing that I can suppose. They want repeat the success that Kuroko was.

i don't think hq!! will get a anime. nisekoi was more likely a expection, because romance stories tend to be shorter. a sports manga can easily go up to 300 chapters, with all the different tournaments. look how far eyeshield got with more and more ridiculous tournaments never mentioned before. hq on the other hand isn't anything that far, only playing around in the local area with some befriended school on training camps.

Well, Nisekoi is already getting an anime adaptation. AC has it's Jump Festa special, so it'll be likely for it to get an anime. So far every anime that got a Festa special got an anime afterwards too, if I'm correct.

I've never read Haikyuu and I don't know anything about it, but isn't it too early for an anime adaptation? Sure, Nisekoi (and probably AC) are getting anime's. But they are exceptions that could deal with short seasons.

I remember, back when I used to visit this thread, it was normal to get an anime if the series was running for at least two years, I don't know if that is still the case?

They could announce Naruto is ending.

Haikyuu or AC anime. Perhaps even a Bleach OVA, doubt it'll be too early for that though.

Other than that it could be Naruto ending or HxH resuming. I don't know what else kind of big news there would be coming.

Well, Haikyuu have 7 volumes, 8 is near. Until a supposed anime come a few more volumes will be launched. I think for a 1/2-cour anime is very acceptable. Kuroko no Basket anime has covered 9 volumes, for example.

They said 10 chapters, but you think in the numerical code countdown began 1/10+1 DB-11, right? I think the next one, the 10th, is technically the last chapter, and then a special chapter.

Warner Bros live adaptation of Bleach? :P
As much as I love Bleach, I don't want Hollywood making live adaptations of Japanese manga. If anything, they should leave that to the Japanese.
