Terra Formars is really impressive. I had no idea it would catch on like it has.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

August 26-September 1
Why is SnK 11 so low compared with the others?

That's probably related to it being the one most recently released. People are still burning through their backlog of the series rather than immediately buying the newest book as soon as possible.

Oh yes, and SnK 11 had a special edition as well as a regular edition. Special/Limited Editions sales are counted separately by Oricon, and those sales tend to drop off the charts sooner. So any volume that has one looks like it sold less than it really did when you look at the readily available regular edition numbers.

Nah, I don't think so. The most recent volume usually sell more than past volumes, like volume 10 used to sell more than past 9 volumes.

That was just my first thought. See the part I added after doing some additional checking. Volume 11 has a Limited edition that's likely getting 10,000-20,000 sales of it's own this week. Not enough to make it onto the chart, but enough to significantly drop the regular edition volume 11 sales due to people buying the Limited edition instead of the Regular edition. Then the overall sales for volume 11 would be low because of that, and because it's the most recent volume.

I don't think limited edition going to affect that much on the regular edition. I think the limited edition just going to affect the overall sale for the regular volumes, but the per week sale shouldn't really affect that much.

Plus, the limited edition only going to have a limited amount of copies, so I don't think it'll affect the normal edition for more than two weeks.

Limited edition volume 11 is still available on Amazon and HMV. Surprisingly, limited edition of volume 7 is also still available on HMV. It's nearly one month for volume 11 and a year for volume 7?

Either they printed a lot of copies or it's not actually limited. A special edition, rather than a limited edition?

I'm also curious whether the special edition is included in the 1.85 million first print run reported for Shingeki 11 or if 1.85 million is all regular edition.

[vinceled]

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

I just think the volume sells less because it's been here for way less time. I mean all the volume got into the ranking again when the anime started and have been continuously selling since then.

We will see those numbers today if it enters the Top 50 with its first five days of sales. Today's ranking is for the week from September 2nd to September 8th.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaahhh!

Volume 8 before disappearing from the list
48. Yamada-kun no 7-nin no Majo #8 (37,649 / 75,596)

Now, Volume 9, first week:
08. Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo #9 (69,183)

I think we have a little little boost. I'm glad.
