I actually liked Bleach and Naruto's art more before they became so realistic. Kishi had a very distinct, individualistic style during part one. I feel like he has lost that during part two. Bleach was never that cartoonish, but used to be a lot funkier looking. Kubo's style used to remind of a cross between JoJo's and Houshin Engi. I think he's become so focused on drawing bishies that his art has lost a lot of it's original appeal. I still like his layout and design schemes. There's a really good flow between panels. The way he designs pages reminds me of Inoue.

Funky is the word I was looking for. It's definitely that. You summed up the rest pretty well for me too. I especially loved the design schemes for the Espada. RIP Espadas

Yeah, I'll let you know, I was actually scribbling a lot of little notes this past week, haha.

Aaaaaaand that was a typo, I meant to say 22. I forgot to correct myself, it was announced to get half a season, but it was so popular that it got a full season! Then it became incredibly popular and got adapted in lots of countries before the first half was even finished! ... And then it got cancelled.... It has a closed ending, so no worries there. Matthew had some great shows yeah, Studio 60 was a good show, Mr. Sunshine not so much, mostly because of the supporting cast. But Go On! was incredible! I really loved it!

Yeah, if they ended it the first time when it was supposed to, it would've gotten a sudden ending. But, I wouldn't have cared, I liked it, but I wasn't into it.

Mr Sunshine? Never heard of it, but apparently it's still running. There there, I'm sure you'll find another show. I feel the same pain when I think about Happy Endings.

Yeah it was gutting to find out, but at the same time, in between the 2 Summer Games, I was on holiday to Romania. SO, there's not much disappointment .

Overall the movie had an excellent design to it. Zephyr wasn't the first one, but I'm not sure if Saga can be called a traitor. If I remember correctly, he took over the Marine dojo on that island with his full purpose of bringing darkness to the world. I'm not sure that qualifies as betrayal, since he never did anything big against the marine, he just casted a spell over the dojo and it's members. He wasn't an official Marine member in the end.. If I remember correctly.

I really didn't like that movie btw, I was so psyched, since it was a Zoro movie! But in the end it was a very boring and bad movie.

Did you see the Episode of Nami special? Which recaps the entire Arlong Park in two hours with brand-new animation? It was excellent.
Last month they did an Episode of Merry one, I'm really looking forward to that one.. but then again.. not really. Just thinking about it!
And there was an Episode of Luffy (Hand Island Arc) which has something to do with OPZ too, I think. There was more I think, One Piece had a lot of anime stuff this year.. It's crazy

Besides the manga cover-stories no villains got more centric into the storyline, besides the flashbacks of Arlong, but those are flashbacks, so they don't count. Enel was fucking bad-ass too and it's been awhile, he would be perfect. If they put a main villain in a movie who is not the main villain after all, but just the right hand man or something. But that's wishful thinking, I guess. If so Oda just comes up with new characters that fit in somewhere, much like Shiki and Zephyr.

The last we saw of Morgan was during Django's Dance Carnival, right? After he escaped in the cover-stories, he drifted in the ocean in Dance Carnival. But he could be useful in some Coby/Helmeppo filler/side-story instead of a cool comeback in the movies or specials.

I said I watched in raw version, so I dunno much about the story. I think Gaspade is the first Marine traitor we saw in the movies.

Nah I've not seen the Nami special yet. Soon. I've heard about how good it was from other members who commented about it over in the OP section. Usually I watch all OP episodes, but I think I was away for this one and didn't bother watching it when I returned.

A Merry Special? Wasn't aware of that one. I know about the Hand Island special with Commodore Bilic and I saw bits of it but didn't finish it because I knew it was filler. IIRC Coby was also in that movie, no? The Episode of Luffy aired on the same day that Film Z premiered. Other than that, I dunno of any other ties.

I guess we'll see Enel at some point in the NW for sure, he's planning to leave the moon at last we saw him in the story. Most of the villains in the manga would be excellent movie villains or bosses of villains. I just can't wait for them to return and see at what capacity they do come back at. Even CP9; god knows what they've been up to in the last 2 years since the quit the WG. And also Crocodile being a pirate in the NW again.

Yeah that's right, the last we saw of him was then. I guess maybe you're right in that he's could be being saved to provide development for Coby's character later in the series.

Did you see the reactions to the new episode on Uproxx then? The season was absolutely horrible, but the last episode was just.. abominable. The new one was just pathetic too, I can't even take this show serious anymore, I don't understand how they could let it get this bad..

Yeah, MAL is basically a perfect site. IMDb has a great system you can customize, but it's very static and you have to keep everything up-to-date yourself, no easy edits etc. That's too bad, I was actually planning on making a MAL for cartoons and eventually branch out, but we shut that site-project down after 2 months, realizing that we couldn't keep it under control if it became too big. The workname was called http://iwatchtoomuchshit.nl ( ). But it's a pretty easy site I guess. You also have trakt.tv, which looks a lot better and is more fun too, because.. pictures. But then again, FMtv is easier to use.

Yeah, I know that, I'm glad Netflix finally arrived, I was surviving on 1~2 free gigs for months. Now I've got about 200 gigs again, the other 1800 is filled with anime, manga and music.

Phil and Cameron are the best, I'm nearing the end of seasons three and... Phil is the best. Cameron has it's moments. I really have gained respect for Jay, he's a douche, but he's a such a sweetheart. I've never liked Gloria. She's TOO LOUD and I hate her 'things'. You know, the accent and it's language mistakes, the 'in my country/culture'. I've never liked her. But her boobs save her, because I like Mitchell the least. Never liked him, just like Gloria actually.

I practically binge-watched the show, then there's not enough time to get tired of it.. yet! But I can understand why, it's a sitcom.. eventually they all become.. just a sitcom..

Mitchell is the most annoying character in that show, next to Phil eldest daughter(don't remember her name). I love Gloria's things, it's funny to hear her character talk, especially at the beginning of the series. Her character's dynamic with Phil is one of the best relationships on the show.

The art was just blah to me, not enough depth and looked kinda weird...

Oh yeah, you said that indeed. Why would you watch it raw? If I remember correctly they stopped at some island to help this girl, but Zoro got lost/wandered off and met Saga. A childhood friend, Saga casts curses and gets Zoro to betray the crew and help Saga to bring darkness to the world. That's pretty much it, the girl the rest of the crew is helping is some priestess who can stop all of it etc. It's an enjoyable movie, but not what you'd expect from a Zoro-centric movie.

I'm not so curious for Crocodile too, last we saw him I didn't really care, I was actually more psyched for Daz Bones.

Wait.. what.. You did used to watch it, right? Or am I confused right now. This show was supposed to be good, it had two minor seasons, for Dexter, but good seasons nonetheless. But this is probably one of the worst executed seasons in a 'drama'-series I've ever seen.. And I've seen a lot of bad seasons.. Next Sunday is the season and series finale, I never watched previews in my life, but I did now, and the previews make it look good and dark, how the show used to be. So I'm somewhat hopeful for a good ending to this bad shit.

I'm not even sure what's in it, and I don't even listen music anymore from my collection, instead I use Deezer and Spotify. It's been awhile since I read manga off-line too. Don't get me wrong, I would pick Sofia over Julie any time, any where. I like some me some meat. But the point was that I always seem to forget about Julie and I re-discover her every time. To be honest, neck-down, I don't even care about her. Although, she has a nice butt, way too small, but nice.

Yeah I dunno why but it happened. . They need to do a Zoro-centric movie but do it properly; but only after he becomes a badass swordsman in the NW.
Sword fighting is the reason why Zoro is one of my favourite characters, I can't wait to see haki-imbued flying slashes from him.

That's the reason why I always disregard specials; because of the fact that they are fillers. But saying that, out of the shonen animes, OP does pretty well with its fillers. Still remember the awesomeness of G-8 arc. To be honest, I'll watch the Nami and probably Merry specials but I have no interest in the filler special with some crappy Marine. He's no Jonathan

Enel was such a dick but what an ability he had. Had he been a pirate with that ability and his personality, he would be a great opponent to Luffy's aim to be Pirate King. I did not really like Fukuro's Chapapa, it was quite annoying. But Kumadori, man....this still remains one of my funniest scenes of him:

No, I've seen some episodes randomly...well more like scenes, since I was interested in Doakes( No Surprise muthafucka!). It looked good for the most part but the number of seasons just put me off. Same reason I use for not watching Supernatural again, or trying Walking Dead or anything like that. The only series I picked up with extensive backlog was Breaking Bad( 3 1/2 seasons had already aired when I picked it up).

I use my Spotify and have some of my local stuff synced to it, so even when mmy allocated time expires, I can still play good music. I used to be very good at keeping up with my manga folders, especially OP; without fail. Now...I couldn't tell you where I left off with them. I guess the sheer number of stuff I have to keep up with has put me off now.

Null did a bunch of other series but Japflap and ju-ni only did Naruto and Bleach respectively. They also did the artbooks and databooks in some cases. In terms of downloads,I hadn't really downloaded anything like back in my axxo and isohunt days.

I don't even know who the bad guys are now. They're Quincies, they suddenly showed up and pwn'ed the Captains at the beginning of the arc, then they disappeared for, like, a year, now they're back, attacking Captains again. I'm not sure why I'm supposed to care. Meanwhile, Naruto is busy fighting plants. I usually don't stress when OP takes a week off, but yesterday Oda was sorely missed.
