Discussion Who will get Ace's Mera Mera no Mi (Fire) Devil Fruit?

well here is my take on the storyline. I think that during the fight between sanji and doflamingo, sanji will be dealt a crushing defeat. he may put up a credible fight but will still be defeated, crippled even. Luckily there are two doctors, law and chopper. they will escape doflamingo but barely, possibly nami getting hurt, either thru someones interference or laws power, nami maybe using mist clouds. i think rebecca will win the fight in d block tho. in the end luffy will win and will get the mera mera fruit, sanji having recovered, will be having 'weakling' issues. Luffy seeing sanji's plight will offer him the fruit. sanji will eat it then he will have ace power. then its payback time for Dofla. mehehehe

Well i thought too that sanji will might lose his foot now he is vs DD but the fact that he can make parts of his body to go enflamed make me to believe that those fighting techincs he has he can block DD string abilities so he will probably wont lose any part of his body but i had a theory about something but its too damn crazy and the changes for something like this to happen is farely rare. What if the mera mera will giving to an animal? If i remember well there was a chapter with the name of Ucy and lucy where luffy was riding that fighting bull and that bull and lyffy looks like they became friends because luffy got angry and k.o that giant with 1 hit. The thing is why to even give a name to a bull? iand even more important why to name the whole chapter Ucy and lucy why not giving another title? My hunch says that the losers of the block both animals and ppl might get imprissonned of even turned into toys because Vice admiral Bastille says that strangly noone come out yet. Yet among D block there is a fighting lion there as a compatitor isnt it? Sunny's has a lion with rays as a symbol infront isnt it? Can this be connected somehow. What if we see ucy that bull get the fruit or that lion a pet with the power of mera mera i dont know its a crazy thought lol.

Sanji only needs the fruit after he gets stabbed by Violet. Didn't Zoro curse him exactly like this? This only happens if Violet used to be da man.

He's already Red Leg with Diable Jiambe.

Why do people want Sanji to have the Mera Mera no Mi? The man already has fire in his repertoire. It's redundant. Same thing could be said for Luffy. Again Luffy getting Ace's fruit would make the Red Hawk tribute meaningless.

yes sanji did want that, but assuming the guy from thriller bark is still alive he wont have it. now based on what sanji said, he is willing to eat a devil fruit, tho only for his pervert attitude. but still is willing to do that even if it cost him his ability to swim. Well the Cp9 techs gave him another boost in his arsenal as well as his hell training with the okamas. But i think its still not enuf. however, mera2 fruit may just upgrade his fire abilities to a higher notch, not to mention more badassness. He has shown his abilty to use his kicking power to the point where his speed can only be defeated bt a merman/mermaid in the water. so i think his ablity to save luffy drowning will not be hampered. anyway I'm 99.9999% sure that jimbei will join the crew, i dont know why, must be gut feeling. so no probs of luffy drowning there. im rooting for sanji for mera mera.

maybe he loses his legs in the fight with doflamingo and to bring them back he needs to eat the fruit? i don't think it's that far fetched. however a bit unlikely since he just spend 2 years of training i guess we'll find out soon

no way sanji loses his legs!!!! that would be awful

i could see DF really hurting him badly though, i dont give sanji much of a chance in this fight

if i had to pick a crew member to recieve the mera mera, sanji would be the best candidate at this point

however the crew would need another strong swimmer to make up for the loss of sanjis swimming ability

With all the events, and with the Straw Hats and Law needing some strong allies, my guess is the fruit will go for the toy soldier. He leads the revolution, and he also knows how to fight, so possibly the alliance would win a powerful ally if he takes it.

i still believe the fruit will be eaten by someone on accident or as a preventative measure to keep burgess or someone else like that from obtaining its power

If someone who eats the df happens to be Cavendish then I'm sure there are lot of people scream at the screens. I consider this case one of several possibilities though even it's very slim.

probably jimbei joining the crew, he is interested to join anyway. lol just my theory.

Who is faster though? Jinbei or Sanji? It wouldn't hurt for the Strawhat crew to have two extremely fast swimmers, and at least three who can fight underwater if need be.
