Nanatsu no Taizai being at Kingdom levels almost dictates that an anime ought to be in order, perhaps the studio that did Fairy Tail ought to have been considered by Kodansha and go for getting this series going as well, unless its way too early. It could easily become the next 500K selling manga series...

It had snow fairy, that makes it good alone, and the studio knows good pacing.
Actually maybe they could pursue a short 26 ep first season for it like BLue Exorcist...or first FMA anime...just to boost sales, then full anime later. Take advantage of these high sales while possible.

It's always better for action manga ro have a good stock before the animation. Especially since Nanatsu is the type of serie which an anime can boost a lot. Anyway I'm already happy that it will be officially translated in spring.

So Birdmen didn't even get into the list... that's depressing for me. With her name and Shuumatsu making it to list this is really sad. I really hope it'll not be Buyuden v2 and quality of Birdmen will get it to the success sooner or later.

Maybe the studio is to unrecognized/small to get the rights for it or they are just to expensive. it could also be too gory.

Or they have been making movies about Musashi since the 1920's. A Vagabond adaption, live action or anime, might be redundant. The 2003 Musashi TV drama was even based on the same book Vagabond adapts.

The decision isn't only of the anime industry, but from the magazine(Vagabond-> Mourning, Knights of Sidonia-> Afternoon) and publisher(both Kodansha).
Don't forget that Knights of Sidonia is newer than Vagabond(by 13 years) and the author of Vagabond is a lot more famous, so trying to boost Knights of Sidonia sales(or exposition in general) makes more sense than Vagabond.

Is possible that they're waiting for Vagabond to end to make an anime that makes justice to it.
