For Kishimoto is probably Mario, after all promotion and etc, i really think he maybe can turn Mario in a serie, seems like he's really likes the story
Yeah, I believe it was stated that he thinks its his best work.
But would they really let Kishimoto leave WSJ to serialize Mario in some other magazine?

Side Note (off topic) - The administrative messages are so eye catchy to me, for some reason :P

So out of all past serialized mangaka's with that aren't currently in the magazine, who would you guys like most to see serialized again? I personally really want a new Toshiaki Iwashiro series.
This is the kind of question I've been meaning to answer for quite awhile.

Am I the only one who wants to see Kenji Sakaki return? I've waited since the start of Nisekoi (the series that replaced Enigma) for her to return and I just can't stop talking about her.

As much as Enigma was delivered completely ad hoc (key phrase here), thus resulting in an ending that just made almost no sense or continuity, there was just something in it that captivated me for a good part of its life. If she had polished it more, I'm pretty sure Enigma could've lasted longer and ended up in a much better place. As Yusei Matsui recently mentioned in AC 63, WSJ lacks a mystery title, which is actually something that's persisted since Enigma ended (now over 2 years ago). If she comes back with a mystery or horror title, at the VERY least it's going to turn some heads, hopefully the lot of whom have moved on from Sakaki's controversies, serial and personal.

Therefore, if she tries hard enough, I still believe she could leave a serious contender in the lineup of WSJ manga.

Whoever did ST&RS must come back, excellent character designer.
I liked ST&RS too, but I felt like it was driven more as a tribute to Uchu Kyodai as opposed to being a serious attempt to develop the story much further than its short-term goal. I know it's somewhat acceptable as some authors don't plan on making too long a story, but then again, why set the bar low, and will it necessarily have a good impression on the editors? Then again, maybe I'm wrong. And either way, I'd welcome Ryosuke Takeuchi and/or Masaru Miyokawa's return too.

I'd say one more author I'd hope to return is Sho Aimoto. Like Kenji Sakaki, she's assisted Akira Amano in the past for Reborn!. She also created her own slightly horror, mostly school life series, Hokenshitsu no Shinigami, which lasted about a decent length, longer than Enigma.

I haven't touched their works very much, but I think I'd welcome Ohba/Obata or Iwashiro return too, just because so many other people want them back too.

With the upcoming cancellation round in order, I'm hoping to see at least one familiar face again. This is all just a wishlist, but I hope at least one of them comes back. To be honest, I'm tired of seeing some relatively incompetent mangaka pushing their next new serializations so soon, only to screw them up shortly after, like we've seen in recent months.

P.S. I've been restraining my envy of Soul Catcher(s) for getting serialized, which had a oneshot in the 2012 Jump NEXT! Fall issue, while Kenji Sakaki also had a oneshot in that same issue, and has yet to get a new serialization out.

Also, while Mutou Black was the opposite of popular I personally really liked Mutou Black and really want to see Daijiro Nonoue back as well.
Oh man. Teppei Fukushima, every time. I know I keep beating this dead horse but he's 100% Jump's best-kept secret, and if he were serialised again could really hit it big, i'm sure.

Alternately yeah, Daijiro Nonoue (great art), Kenji Sakaki (great potential), Sho Aimoto (a favourite of mine) and... Ooh, Oishi Koji.

I'd like to return Miyokawa maoru with ryosuke takahashi, but even Kenji sakaki with paradise rule, even if soul catcher has been serialized it can happen the same thing like hime doll and Koi no cupid.I want back Iwashiro,Takeshi obata,or the series with Iwashiro and takeuchi.
Another mangaka I want to comes bak is Youichi Amano, too.it was eccellent, but Japaneses didn't liked it.
There's still Amano,Murase(now is in Young jump),The author of metallica metalluca, and Kenta tsuchida

The vomic for WT going to release on December, not November.
Wasn't it going to be released on January and aired on Sakiyomi JumBANG on December?

Why do you have this desire? Ohba and Obata is the most successful duo that I know, all that they did made success.
I don't like Death Note or Bakuman, but I love Obata's art. And I think he did his best artwork in Hikaru no Go. I'd like to see him work with another writer.

Well, Obata did also paired with Morita Masanori (author of Rokudenashi Blues, Rookies, and Beshari Gurashi) and Nisio Isin (author of Monogatari Series and story author of Medaka Box), but those were just one shots.

Very rare to see someone that don't like Bakuman and Death Note... Well, this is understandable in your case, but to see Ohba and Obata working separately is quite improbable in my opinion after two success. Don't change a team that are winning.

Any particular reason as to why you didn't like em? As Leoat said, its quite rare to see someone not like those 2 works.

Not yet. You need to learn to be patient, my friend. The judges were deliberating earlier this week. They have some pull on the final results of the contest. We'll probably know by the end of the year.

Now I love both Bakuman and Death Note but both have their serious issues. Death Note for example kind of begins to fall apart after L dies and just feels like they were forced to keep going (it was even implied this was the case in Bakuman), Bakuman for example had some serious issues with repetition, had an MC with practically zero character development, had a ton of loose ends that were never dealt with (whatever happened to the kid who wanted to bang his dog or the really emo edgy kid who couldn't talk to anybody and drew crappy edgy manga?), and also had those really irritating and dumb arcs about Nanamine.

The team are great at coming up with amazing concepts and fantastic beginnings/first halves for their series, but they always tend to falter halfway through.

Most people say that about Death Note, but it was not the case in my opinion, Death Note second part has its good moments as much as first part had.
Bakuman didn't fail in develop characters, every series has secondary characters that don't worth enter in details about their stories, I don't miss any of their stories, the ending was very good and without unnecessary things. Nanamine's arc has its value, too, in my opinion, it was quite fictional, but it showed interesting points.

But Bakuman did fail is developing characters, look at the main character for fucks sake man.
I feel like you just don't hold manga to the same writing standards as I do. If I read something I require it to be at a certain level (if it's trying to be something at a certain level) and if its not then I can clearly see that. It's probably because I'm in the arts or something.

Seriously that you think Mashiro bad developed? Well, everyone has their own taste and way to see a series.

...Are you telling me he actually had character development in the series? He was essentially the same exact character he was at the beginning at the end. This is not a matter of 'subjective tastes'. This is a matter of what is clearly being presented to the readers as objective fact. Bakuman had issues with character development and almost everybody who read the series saw it the same way. It's a very good series and a favorite of mine, but it's not without its issues.
