What of important happened?? still everything the same thing, Raku don't makes anything and still knows nothing about the feelings of the others, Chitoge loves him but not make nothing, Onodera the same thing, Haru is annoying and lately has more attention that Onodera in the manga, Marika and Tsugumi still the same thing, the useless harem of Raku still increase more and more, the pendant was forgotten for chapters and chapters and returning just now, the story simply does not advance in matter of story and romance, i'm expected that in this week will a good chapter for the anniversary
Then, do you expect that rom-com series to have a story which leads to next arc, like the action series?

[...]past and ongoing serials within the magazine. There, I've been seeing some mangaka who, after tanking with their first serializations, have this bright idea of trying again.[...]
You know, your post made me re-realize something, almost all of the series that started between 2011 and Summer 2013 and are still ongoing have several common traits: (except Ansatsu, Matsui is the exception in almost everything xD)
1) They are by mangaka that had failed (sometimes rather badly) with one previous serialization and then came up with the current series which either became a hit or at least didn't fail immediately
Ashihara (WT) had Rilienthal
Furudate (HQ) had Kiben Gakuha
Komi (Nisekoi) had Double Arts
Tsukuda (Soma) had Shounen Shikku
Shinkai (SC) had Light Wing
Asou (Saiki) had Yuushagaku
And Matsui (AK) is the exception since Neuro even had an anime...
2) They made one or more oneshots for the story before trying to do a series
Except AK again and maybe HQ (I'm not sure about HQ, I think it had one too...)
And well, WT had two, Saiki had like... 5?
3) They changed genres (sometimes rather dramatically) in contrast to the previous serialization
Ashihara went from gag to sci-fi action
Furudate went from horror/mystery to pure sports
Komi went from action/adventure to a school life romcom
Tsukuda went from sports to cooking
Shinkai went from sports to music
Matsui for once isn't the exception as he went from horror/mystery to whatever AK can be classified as
And well, Asou would be the only constant one as he's still doing fantasy gags
I'm well aware that there's a lot of other mangaka who went to similar processes and didn't make a hit, but my point is that it would seem that newbies are almost guaranteed to fail in Jump as it is now (that or we haven't had a really good newbie in Jump in a real long while xD)

I know how a romcom/slice of life works and i read/watch a lot of this type of series, but Nisekoi lately not make nothing. Since the chapter 50 the manga stop with real character development and plot, the romance never advance, not even a little, and the characters just are reunite for the random situations that not going anywhere, and Nisekoi not was this.

simplifying, the majority of lately complains is because the manga since a determinate moment stoped with plot and development that Nisekoi had before, and now is almost 100 chapters and everything still the same thing.

How i say before, i like and i read Nisekoi since the first week, but sometimes is really tiring the total lack of development and romance of lately chapters

Yup, HQ had two oneshots. And come to think of it, AK is a pretty weird exception to the rule. o_O; I wonder if there was a oneshot at one point, but it just never saw the light of day.

If you understand how rom coms work, then you would know that Nisekoi is not an exception to that rule. Simple as that. What's happening in there should not come at any surprise. End of discussion. Lol.

I'm more fascinated how their artwork has remained the same, even with series change and genre shift.

That's why I have never really like shonen romances. If you are interested in romance that don't end in an eternal harem, read girl mangas.

"Girl mangas" lol, why not just call it shoujos?

I also don't particularly care for "boy manga" romances either though.

I hate this sort of argument but I do like saying this, so I'll say it again.

Nisekoi has developments. Constantly. That is literally how plot works. Just because each chapter isn't life-shattering doesn't mean things aren't happening. I mean... jesus... Come on. Next you'll all be throwing the same argument at Gintama.

Like sure the trappings of shonen romances hold it back at times, but it's not like it's just the characters staring into space each chapter. they change, learn, grow, have developments et cetera.

Crazy, Berserk and HXH are gonna be running at the same time.
Not just them.

-Liar Game will come back this winter in magazine and 17th volume will be out next spring.
Togashi, Miura and Kaitani all return around the same time after they all had a damn long hiatus. One has to wonder if they had a meet and decided to make a huge comeback together :amuse I surely will enjoy this winter, no doubt.

Just as an aside, that's assuming Berserk will return immediately after this 6-chapter series, which will end no earlier than February.

Yeah, that's why I used the mangaka's names, instead of the series. Hunter x Hunter could very well be just another 2 special chapters and then be gone again. Even Liar Game could leave after just another 10 chapters. I'm happy that they return, but obviously things could end pretty fast too, one has to be prepared for that.

While I can't speak for Kaitani, for the other two:
-In the announcement for the miniseries, it was said that Berserk will resume right after its finished.
-The wording for the HxH announcement is "Serialization resumes" aka the normal chapters.

Basically, unless there was fake news mixed in, all three series will return this winter.

Take another look, it didn't say "right after", it said it will resume after the mini-series completes it's run. That could mean anything honestly. Unless there was something in the translation I missed, I'm not going to assume such a thing. This is Miura after all.

There's nothing weird with the HxH announcement. They don't announce it unless Togashi delivers. But I'm going to be skeptical as far as Berserk goes, it's a different situation.

Sometimes I think the same from who complains about Nisekoi story. They are waiting for something which will never happen.

That's what I think. Each chapter has a bit of development, this is subtle, but each character change, learn and grow in these chapter as you said. There are chapters that rise the relationship between the chracters, others which let we know more about characters personality and other things.
In addition to being a romcom, Nisekoi is a school life/slice of life series, and the vision that I have about this genre is that the life not only has impactful moments (life-shattering as you said), but common moments where school life side of Nisekoi take place more than its romcom side. Peolpe should learn that the characters are living their lifes, and what is valid for people lifes is valid for them, mostly because they are people, too.

Just to give a properly answer, let's talk about TOC now, that's the subject of the thread.

Wow, HxH is finally coming back! It will be awesome and once again nostalgic to see the 3 legendary battle shonen manga (One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and Naruto) running at the same time in Jump!

Didn't the Gintama manga start in December? Anyways I'm pretty sure it will get a cover for it's anniversary. I've seen most manga always get a cover for the anniversary but the timing tends to differ on when they actually get it (Sometimes it's a week before or a week later).

Pleasantly surprised by PSI's rankings. I have been noticing that it has been in the top 5 usually. The series must be doing really well.

Nope! Kazu and Kuroko spoiler confirmed it was fake.
Ah, so it was confirmed to be fake...and now sadness :(
Still hoping for a return.
