I love this ToC *---* (except Hachi's position...).

Glad to see World Trigger slowly making its way up. Here at Weekly Shonen Jump, for once, it feels like slow and steady CAN win the race after all. It also seems like Soul Catcher(s) is joining World Trigger too, though I can't comment on its pacing.

While it's had a sudden spike on the ToC on this issue, I have to ask: Given its literally instant popularity, how much does it truly matter where Isobe is on the ToC? And given that, is there a reason for this spike?

Blegh, a color page wasted on Bleach. Oh well.

Not that I read Bleach anymore, but to be fair, considering how deprived Bleach had been of color pages for several, several months before returning from its five-week absence, it's become a lot more deserving of CPs these days.

World Trigger continues to be implicated in the cannibalistic relationship with Bleach, that huge gap this week even.

But a naruto break? Why, colour page in 1 please. And speaking of 1 isnt that where the rumour starts?

It's good to see two series that I like a lot doing anniversary two weeks in a row and with success. Congratz Shokugeki!

For a moment I was asking myself where was Shokugeki in this wonderful top 5 before I remember that it had cover and Lead CP. XD
Good TOC, top 4 is predictable, but Nisekoi doesn't get 5th position often lately, I'm glad. Same to Haikyuu!! and the highlight that its CP is getting. World Trigger is doing very well as well as Soul Catcher(s), two series that grown up slowly, but they are getting there, I will read both in the near future.

The wording, or I guess folks translation of it seems pretty vague and could go either way. I wouldnt mind if it is truly off until calendar year 2014...Kishimoto's been hitting it out of the ballpark and deserves a short break.

I remember some confusionlike this happening last year because it uses the term "new year". This is issue 51-2013. The # indicates the week of the year, so then numbers go up to 52 and that's also why issues before week breaks have 2 numbers on them (Issue 2-3 and such).

But it doesn't start at 1 on January 1st, there's like a 4 week delay. Kinda like how monthly issues of any sorta monthly magazine will put out their November issue in October and such (I think the idea has something to do with making it seem "new" longer and keep being bought). So the street date for this is November 19th. The street date for 52 is November 26th. Then Issue 1-2014's street date is the first week of December, 4 weeks before the actual 1st week of the year. So we'd get the TOC for that 6 days prior as usual, on the 27th.

The same sorta confusion holds true with the fact that it's called "Jump Festa 2014" when it's actually held at the end of 2013. That sorta thing.

yeah if you're unfamiliar with magazine publishing the release date and the date it represents are usually about a month off. Some, like Judge Dredd Megazine, actually have the day the next issue comes out as the date printed on the cover, even.

It's funky, but works, and means that I totally have to dust off my pod for another year in brief before the year is even out ¬_¬

I read US use this delayed system too but that's far from being done everywhere. In particular not in Europe (at least not in France)

"One year anniversary design/project/plan on page 46" is what it says.

You forgot to include the previous part which says "the manga continues on page 29"

Meaning the chapter is 19/21 pages like usual.

Strange because with the lead color page it doesn't start on page 29.
