Only possible reason is desperation. You are about to die and need some X person to push Kat's spying investigation towards. And there is no other possible role aside from Bomb in which you can say a convincing line like "I'll be the last one to vote, trust me".
As things stand now, for a Mafia, it's better to kill a dumbass bomb and die than to die on his own.

It's practically impossible. Unless you are lying about stuff while being Townies, that is.
1) Hardy moving your action to Josef is a lie.
2) You spying on Hardy and getting Imperium is a lie.
3) Hardy is telling the truth and Josef being a Bomb is a lie.
No other way around, as far ar I can see.
