Well, germany did ! Definitely the best team at the world cup.... I don't care for argentina but I really wanted messi to have a world cup.... Its also a shame that we will never have a chance to see something as spectacular as argentina winning a world cup at brazil.... Its so absurd and borderline offensive its a shame it didn't happen... I guess if medicine improves enough I just might live to see the day... Not that I have anything in particular against brazil though (except their current horrible football and their horrible opening and closing ceremonies).

Anyway, europe is still proving it s the top of the world in football. 5 of the last 6 teams in finale are europpean. The last 3 wc were won by 3 different eu teams. Aside brasil, europe is dominant since 1990

Messi had 4 MoTM (more than anyone else), created more plays than any other player in the WC... he was the best in our team.

But the fact that he was almost invisible in the last 2 1/2 matches automatically gives it to James.

The Golden Ball is usually given to someone who participated in teh final except if someone was truly outstanding compared to other players. I agree that guys like Robben, James and so on would have deserved it but none of them were THE player of the tourney.
Considering that, i would have given it to Mascherano to be honest.
