The executives are DD's top fighters and so far they have shown nothing special.
Pica: bragged about taking everyone out but is getting pummeled by zoro and didnt manage to injure anyone.
Diamante: couldnt protect the fruit in the tournament, couldnt beat bartolomeo and got cut by kyros and couldnt stop luffy and law.
Trebol: no good for being a logia type. Even though he has brilliant power and aim he could do nothing against law but beg and DD saved his ass.

Do u think they will have a comeback and push zoro and others to the edge? or just this dissapointing one-sided fight?

We havent seen pica fight seriously yet, the same way we havent seen any of the strawhats fight seriously since the time skip. Oda has just been chilling and building up the storyline, and he sure took his time.....about a year. We've just seen zoro and pica clash here and there, nothing serious like a full panned fight like him and kaku.

Diamante... Well he did go against Bart (a rookie who made it to the new world with a shield basically for his ability) Burgess (the fighter/zoro equivalent for what is now a yonkou), and sabo (the number 2 of the revolutionary)

Trebol, we havent seen him fight seriously yet either, he's just been there.... There has to be a reason why he's there with law and luffy and dox

Basically since the post time skip, we've never seen anyone really get serious serious the way its been shown before, nobody really on the brink of death or whatever, like CP9 or Oz or even back like in alabasta.

I'm certain the line up oda has built up will be one of the new world.

We haven't really seen anything from Trebol and Diamante yet, although Diamante made a fool of himself in the tournament playing around with Rebecca and not focusing on the Mera Mera No Mi. Pica is clearly a very strong opponent, he's just fighting Zoro. Zoro has curbstomped every opponent he's encountered so far in the New World, but if you notice, with each arc each of his opponents is stronger and does a little better. At least according to Zoro it took time for him to get used to Pica's ability. I don't care if Trebol fights or not. His ability is gross, and we already know he can shoot a fly between the eyes, so he's proved worth. Getting taken out by Zoro or Law doesn't make you weak, they themselves are stronger than most of the SH crew.

Diamante or Trebol are simply no match for the likes of Law or Sabo. But that's probably true for any of the Strawhats.

But Pica was indeed a disappointment. Zoro washed the floor with him.

Actually Pica is the only one that didn't dissapoint me. He's seroius, while his crewmates are just goofing around.

Really, that's the issue here. Doffy's crewmates simply didn't take the threat of the Strawhat's serious. All of them are probably capable of deafeating any of the Straw Hats one-on-one except for the Monster Trio and Franky. Yet we saw Baby 5 and Gladius having a Tea Party, Dellinger torturing Bellamy, and Machvise, Senor and again Dellinger not paying attention to Franky after they defeated him.

But the worst of them all are Diamante and Trebol. Diamante, the so called "genius", completely messed up the final because he thought it might be a good idea to celebrate himself by taunting Rebecca instead of going after Lucy, which was what that tournament should have been all about. Or why didn't he just cancel the tournament after realizing Lucy isn't Luffy anymore?

Same with Trebol. He is supposed to watch over Sugar, yet he left her alone once and then allowed her to even touch that grape which they suspected to be poisoned. If you are on a protection job, you don't let your subject even near things that you suspect to be poison.

Pica just had the misfortune of facing Zorro, but he did his own job (protecting Doffy) splendid. Keep in mind that Zorro, along with Luffy are the only Straw Hats who spent the entire two years with actual combat training. Even Sanji learned Newkama Cooking after beating the recipe masters, Franky had to reconstruct himself, Nami and Chopper spend time studying, Ussop at least partially as well (he learned how to cultivate Pop Green) and improved his weapon, Brook was a popstar and no one knows what Robin has been doing. For Zorro it was nonstop training all day and knowing Zorro probably all night as well. His scarred eye gives us a glimpse of how harsh that training was. Hodi, Hyouzu, Monet and now Pica, Zorro has become just too damn powerful.

None of Doffy's subordinates is weak, they just can't compete with Luffy, Law and Zorro. And they are completely misjudging the situation.

I wouldn't say that the executives were necessarily disappointing. Amongst their number were a few individuals with some ridiculously useful abilities; particularly Violet and Sugar. As for the top execs and their fighting ability, they were just outclassed by individuals they should've been expected to lsoe against. Trebol, so far, and Vergo were handled by Law, hardly embarrassing, the guy's a Shichibukai with a massive bounty that emerged from the Worst Generation. Pica is on his way out at the hands of Zoro, only after threatening pretty much the entirety of Dressrosa. And Diamante was in the arena against the Second-in-Command of the Revolutionaries and one of the main crewmembers of a Yonkou. The fact that most of DD's crew is running around is pretty impressive considering some of the individual's they've come up against.

Not surprising. Oda simply sucks at directing an arc in which the protagonists should have a great advantage. That is why Dressrosa has been wathered down with so much bullshit in order to make the arc longer than it should have been.

Besides, Vergo was highly hinted to be the 2nd strongest in the crew. And it makes sense: his great haki kept an entire crew of DF users in check including the top executives.

Yeah despite what Doflamingo said about not underestimating the Straw Hats, he really is underestimating the Straw Hats lol.

Guys, none of the executive are dead, and none of them are "knocked out" per se, the fights arent over. We're finally touching the final battle and I'm sure other battles will get serious. Let's wait and see.

Well, the executives are weak but only within a specific context IMO. As a NW crew they make a reasonably powerful crew. The 3 main executives have shown they are on the level with zoro and sanji even if perhaps just a bit short. None of them have really been made short work of so far, there is a reason they are still around. Zoro has not yet won against pika, trebol has at worst been temporarily incapacitated so far and diamante has yet to actually be defeated. He could not protect the fruit but that was when fighting motherfucking sabo. The guy was the second in command of the revolutionary army and his potential has been implied to be as great as ace's (he was as strong as ace as a child after all). And then he ate a DF and fought an admiral to a tie (which I wouldn't be surprised if he could do without his fruit considering his position). Doflamingo's crew was weak if we consider that doflamingo wanted was aiming to something like PK. They are apparently as strong as the current strawhats but there is a huge difference. Doflamingo's crew has already peaked, all of their members have been pirates at the NW for perhaps over a decade. The strawhats are comparable, if not stronger, and they have barely begun. The only one in the crew who has any real power to speak of is doflamingo. Which is not enough. If Doflamingo wants to be something like the yonko at some point his main 3 fighters would have to be something like marco and jozu and yet so far even doflamingo is probably going to have trouble with people like that. Doflamingo has at most a crew that is enough to be competent at the NW but it is not enough for him to actually reach his goals.

DD is scared of Kaido and that explains it all. He can't be a yonko or PK. If you want to be one then you should be like luffy; not scared!

The one issue I do have with DD's crew is outside of the top executives a lot of the members seem to rely on Devil Fruit powers too heavily and kind of feel more like pre-time skip villains in terms of strength since relying solely on your Devil Fruit is not a smart thing to do in the New World as Pekomz displayed with Caribou. Also the Devil Fruit powers among the lower executives don't seem very threatening with the exception of Sugar's. I mean a couple of them even have abilities extremely similar to the Baroque Works agents. However, this actually does kind of make sense since they are the subordinates of a Shichibukai, who were more prominent pre-time skip(haki was introduced very late into the pre-time skip story after all) than in the New World where the Yonkou's are the big powers. It looks like Lao G and Dellinger don't fight this way though, they seem to be the two most credible threats among the lower executives.

Diamante's ability doesn't seem to be that dangerous either, rather more of an ability of convenience that makes carrying multiple weapons much easier, however it looks like he's a skilled swordsman and he's mostly been goofing off so it's too soon to judge.

What? You'd expect the future greatest swordsman to lose this early in the NW? The guy's one of the supernovas and directly learned from Mihawk. Some shark guy, an octopus, a dragon, and a material-merging-guy shouldn't provide him with much of a workout. :)

I don't really get the impression they rely too heavily on their fruits to be honest. Obviously their fruits are important but they do seem to have actual strength to back them up. The top 3 executives are obviously pretty powerful. Besides them we have deringer, senor pink, gladius.... We have not seem much of any of them but senor pink has at least matched franky which is significant. Gladius survived a gear 2 punch from luffy so at least he is not fodder. Deringer seems to have some skill considering he fought and survived some of the colloseum fighters so far. The issue is that doflamingo's crewmembers seem to be a match to luffy's crew if not slightly weaker which does seem underwhelming. But being weak or too dependant on their fruits? Nah... We even just saw how they trained their lesser members in multiple aspects.

Well the only ones we've really seen fight are Lao G, Dellinger, Jora, Gladius and Machvise. Machvise and Jora definitely rely too heavily on their fruits, Jora did nothing but use her fruit and all Machvise does it seems is try and crush people after increasing his weight. Gladius has a really versatile fruit so it makes sense that he uses his ability so much. Lao G and Dellinger both specialize in hand to hand combat so obviously they aren't the same as the other three. For awhile it looked like all Senor Pink does is use his fruit to sneak up behind you and suplex you, but it seemed like he has some other techniques of his own last we saw him.

After this weeks chapter, I don't have a problem with it anymore, Doflamingo has easy access to Devil Fruits so it makes sense most of his subordinates would be DF users.
