Damn yeah, first time he looks like that, it's awesome to keep discovering new faces for the hero after so many volumes^^

But i'm a bit down, Iimura only saw Fukui and co, not really interesting, she only went up there to understand the fight better...

BTW, are you really sure Ippo said that Saeki was faster that Gedo ??

To me, he only used a trick to make it look like he was very quick. He used his fists to blind Ippo, and turned around him while maintaining them in position. From this on, the only thing he has to do is 2 back steps and he's in the ropes.
I highly doubt it'll work again, though, Ippo will learn from Takamura's fight against Hawk and adapt the "flash down" thing (big step-in) to crush him

Gedo looks kinda weak, doesn't really have a specialty in speed or power but I don't think it's going to be an easy fight. there's too much hyped in this for the match to end quickly. though I would love to see Ippo kick his ass and leave the ring unscathed, don't think that's gonna happen.

And I think it was a slip; even if it was only a slip, it probably occured to him that he can't afford to make any mistakes because of the money at stake. So maybe he gets up and got serious, maybe deal some damage to Ippo.

Ippo fights back and when his punches finally connects, I can't wait to see Gedo's reaction. You know how other fighters always have those reaction after being punched by Ippo, a heavy punch that feels like their organs are being gutted.

his 'trick' is probably gonna be his trump card but I think Ippo's gonna kick his butt anyway.

now that i've actually read till 770.. i think Itagaki will stay in the same gym coz he likes the environment much more than wanting to fight his idol, that's why he choose kamogawa gym in the first place ^^ hmm.. like a loyal dog who will always follow the back of his master (no offence itagaki's fan )

i dont think that itagaki will stay that loyal, he cant wait to get a shot at the title, and he already wondering why the coach doesnt let him spar with ippo

well, about miyata's weight management, I think he will move up a class sooner or later because (1) Taka is not human, you can't compare him to any other boxer (2) Miyata is still a growing teen so I suppose that should make it harder for weight management (p.s how old are these boxers actually )

because of that, miyata most probably won't fight with ippo, as much as i want to see them fight, i somehow don't think they ever will, probably not fated i think he will win the match against randy jr, move up the ranks to fight martinez but he will be defeated because he failed his weight management so he has to entrust ippo to win the championship instead and he moves up a class.

maybe taka would face some really tough opponents since aside from the champions, all other boxers that he fought with weren't much of a problem

and sendo and ippo would fight to the top and finally fight each other for the 1st seed to fight martinez. fighting martinez is the most expected outcome. if this series ends without ippo fighting martinez it would be blasphemy!

That is true for manga. I find North American stories to be rather predictable. Manga, however has a way of leading you in one direction then smacking you upside the head from the other XD

I've noticed that the North American passion with "happily ever after" seems to be the exception rather than the rule in manga. Given that, can we expect something like a character death in the series? Perhaps Takamura even . . .
