I thought about the possibility of Fraudrin always being the one who use Dreyfus body, but seeing Fraudrin mourning Griamor’s death was a bit strange to me. And then there’s that past about Dreyfus being with his wife and son and also having jealousy of his brother due to Gowther’s nightmare, which I think suggest that Dreyfus was at least still alive and active sometimes during the Kingdom arc.

I doubt that a mark is necessary to show that Fraudrin is using the body. Gilthunder and Hauser do both suspect that the feet slipping was no accident. So that’s why I want to ask you guys, when do you think who is using Dreyfus’s body in the story?

The mark is not necessary since there was nothing even when he beat Gowther.

And there is this post, this is just before his "slip".

Fraudrin did mention that he has only been awake for about 10 years, which coincides with when the Sins were scattered and Zaratras was killed. It would seem to make sense that perhaps Fraudrin pseudo-possessed Dreyfus back at that time and manipulated him into killing his brother. The demon who looks like Meliodas states that they have almost nil magic power since they have been sealed for so long, Fraudrin was probably the same so he hid in Dreyfus' body and made him lean towards evil, while leaving him in control most of the time so as not to arouse suspicion. This also explains what Gowther meant when he asked "which one of you is saying those words" back in chapter 77, when he invaded Dreyfus mind he did suceed in surpressing Dreyfus, but he was repulse by something, which we now know must have been Fraudrin, which is almost certainly when Fraudrin began to take the lead in their actions.

I don't think there were moments when dreyfus was specifically being controlled. As we saw when elizabeth was "accidentally" attacked its not like dreyfus went through a chance or anything. Fraudrin probably worked like that all the time. He probably simply manipulated dreyfus by playing his fears and emotions. Its possible there were specific times where he really took over although it couldn't have been for so long that dreyfus would notice. Fraudrin probably worked simply by being a voice in his head, pushing him to do increasingly crazy stuff. Perhaps at times momentarily taking control to get him started on things that he needed done. Like accidentally hitting elizabeth, perhaps getting him started in beating the crap out of hauser and the dawn roar or dealing the first hit to zarathras.

Personally I think Fraudrin took over his body since the moment Zaratras died, and before. All the emotions he showed like crying over the death of Griamor and such was just acting from his part. There's no way to be sure, but it seems that he always tried to manipulate Hendricksen emotionally. First by making him poison his brother, and then he took him under his wing, all the while hiding his demonic nature from him. But I wonder what happened to the real Dreyfus. Maybe his persona was erased, but judging from what Gowther saw it is possible that his original persona is still there, so maybe in a very few instances he would resurface. Other than that his body must be that of a demon, I can only see this explaining how he survived Hendi's Acid.

I agree. I don't think he fully controlled Dreyfus until his "death". Previously he could have been subconsciously influencing his actions. There were probably times where he did take over completely, like Zaratras' death, but I don't think it was a common action he needed until recently.
