Discussion Which translations do you prefer?

Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, but I'd like to know which tranlation/Edited Manga do people prefer: RedHawkNeo, Crunchyroll or Mangastream.

This problem has caused a lot of editing conflicts on the wiki, so I was wondering how another community feels about the situation.

The current debates are focused on the translations of Herritt/Harlot/Harlit and Zeldris/Zeldoris.

I read both and I prefer Red Hawk translations, it's probably the case for most of us. I think it's better to use Red Hawk translations for consistency but I prefer Harlit and Zeldris among the choices above.

Yeah RedHawk is my favorite, and I haven't read Crunchyroll's so I wouldn't know, but to me RedHawk is more clear with the translation of some sentences.For instance the last chapter where Gowther explains why he needs to get locked up. The wording MS chose is kinda odd, but RedHawk's was clear as crystal. Also for the names it is for me Herritt if we go by the katakana. MS changes the names to their liking, so to speak. I know that Harlot fits more, but Herritt was mentioned even before MS picked up NnT. And finally Zeldoris is the same as Zeldris, it's just because of how the japanese language works so Zeldris in Japanese would be pronounced Zeldorisu(Zeldoris).That's the way I see it.
In the end the names don't bother me as much as certain wording from MS. But you've gotta give some credit to them because of how fast they release the chapter. I read both tbh.

As stated earlier, RedHawk has the better translations, so they would be the go to for clear clarifications. Mangastream does a serviceable enough job and are quick, which works for my impatient self. I read both as well.

Redhawk seems to be the overall more reliable source as far as I can tell. I'd argue that MS should be more of a secondary source of context. Never seen a cruchyroll scan though. Also, fendirbeer, redhawk's Manga Editor is a member of the forum. I am sure he'd be glad to answer any questions about the chapters if you have any.

Until viewing this thread and as ladylola also stated, I wasn't aware Crunchyroll did translations for Nanatsu.
Personally, I always read both; first of all Mangastream's as they tend to be the first release, then RedHawk, to check for any inconsistencies in translation. So as it is, RedHawk for me has the better translations but as practice, it's always good to read another version.

Well I usually just read 7taizai on crunchyroll since it and the other series are there. If its like every other red hawk or mangastream translation, then the only thing Im really missing out on is styling and scan quality, which I think CR has the btter off.

7taizai doesnt seem to be a very literary prolific series in which the word choice matters to the experience so CR is a good one and Christine Dashiell, the translator, does a great job with the other series she is tasked with [Toriko].

After hearing the pronunciation in the anime, Herrit seems to be more correct. Or maybe it should be Harrit?

Hendricksen is Hendrickson in Edinburgh's special. Does it mean it's more correct after all?

Volume 12 inside cover confirmed that it's Hendrickson, so RH will be using that from now on. RIP Hendricksen.
