Not be everyone, just don't expect people with Ava/Sigs from the series to see much reason to cancel the series.
Not cancel the series. Just a reasonably civilized discussion about it .

Anyone knows about ēlDLIVE ? I'm interested in Amano's work but I can't read it due to obvious reasons, so some input would be appreciated.

I don't know, but it is unlikely. Hikaru no Go was big success, a success that doesn't seem like a late bloom. :hmm

I'm keeping the tone of the conversation. I simply made a joke because of the recent hate the series received here, and you called the series bad out nowhere. I'm glad that we clarified the things: the series is not bad, you don't like it, it is different.

I already invited people to discuss it in the right place many times, but nobody came. I already said here many times the reason why Nisekoi is the way it is and so forth. I don't believe that people get my point, otherwise this kind of comment wouldn't have been posted. I don't see this pursuit with other series, I can't even commemorate good sales or comments rankings to the subject be brought up. I can give reason of existence for more than 90% of Nisekoi chapters. Only some chapters can be considered zero development and what people say that there aren't many arcs with the so-called plot is wrong, it has a reasonable amount of arcs with plot, it has one intercalated with some single chapters. I didn't want to do it because it would take a good amount of my precious time, but I'll have to map the series. Maybe with a drawing you guys will believe.

It is tiresome, really... From now on, I'm going to make my comments and ignore the rest, only this way I will be able to enjoy the thread.
Can you stop with the passive aggressive comments seriously dude. You don't expect people to take you seriously or even try to discuss when you say stuff like haters gonna hate or let me draw you a drawing ,do you? That just make people think you're just a fanboy and that you'll dismiss everything they say about it and that's basically the truth.

FYI if you want to '' make your comments and ignore the rest '' you are also wasting other peoples time with comments like these ;because no one would even read any if your comments about Nisekoi because it plain obvious how you will respond if they even try to say anything. Also you might enjoy it but other won't so please stop the childish attitude.

Also why should I even go to the Nisekoi thread to even discuss the series when I obviously dislike it. As you said, you already talked about it and I read all your opinions in this this thread, I didn't ignore anything you said previously and I respect it ,but I still think it's bad. This is a jump thread and I said that a particular series is bad and I did say why in a previous comment and I don't really care whether you read it or not. So please stop assuming that nobody read what you say most of the people here read it and they still didn't change their opinion of it ( at least I'm ) so just stop it. Respect others opinion and they will respect yours nobody forces you to defend it. I Didn't come here and said '' Nisekoi is bad someone prove me other wise '' you either could have ignored my comment or respected it and move on, you don't have to defend it. I have my reasons and you have yours and If I wanted to talk about it I would have gone to the right thread.

This discussion ends here for me feel free to read it or '' ignore it ''

I dropped it half into the first season because I found it pretty boring (then again, I never really liked Reborn either)

Until where did you read Reborn? The beginning of the series is plain boring indeed, I only continued reading because who recommended me the series said that it would start to be good after some volumes, I blame him since then for forcing me to read. The story really didn't work as a comedy story, possibily Amano initial intention, and it was shifted to an action afterward. She doesn't know how to start and finish a series, the middle of the series was pretty decent.
I think that with a good writer, she would reach a bigger success, I don't have anything to complain about her art, it is great.

I actually watched like 100 eps of the anime, got bored of the fillers, tried to start reading the manga, but couldn't really bring myself to continue reading it after 18 chs

Thats unfortunate, it was one of the most hilarious of the jump anime. Tsunas priceless reactions, everyones quirks (juudaime, lambos, mukuros, colonellos, etc), reborns costumes, I could go on, and the pacing was excellent.

:feelbro: I'm still watching and torturing myself with it. I started Reborn's anime on december and now I'm not able to continue it, but I have to finish it. That's the worse part, I am masochist (?). The series that I start, the series that I've to finish. ppl, gimme your forces pls (?) need to stop this suffering (??) coff
I'm a believer that Amano could do/get something huge if she were partnered with some good writter, as well.

@Leoat13:
lol, we have the exact opposite opinion of REBORN, I really liked the first couple of chapters, the gag chapters, after the series turned into another fighting manga I got bored and stopped reading. And while Amano's designs look good on Psycho Pass (i think that's the name of the anime she made designs for) I couldn't look at the last couple of REBORN chapters without thinking some of the characters' faces looked like horses.. Dunno why, but that's what I thought lol.. Just not my style I guess, same with D-Gray Man.. I know the style is beautiful, but its just.. Dunno not for me I guess xD

Also, can you link me to that blog entry you mentioned about why Hinomaru wasn't being bought please?

Yeah I'm the same actually. I saw/see people complaining about the Daily Life arc all of the time, but I actually dropped the series after it went the stereotypical "battle" route, just because I didn't find it as compelling.

I would like to recall that both Kuroko no Basket and Haikyuu had a very slow start selling-wise, so it's normal that Hinomaru Sumo get a slow start too. This type of manga always build its fanbase on the long-term and literally explode after the start of it's anime.

Yes, the popularity of Hinomaru Sumo is still shy, but it's not an exception. Haikyuu sold only 31 428 copies for it's first volume, give it time.

Hinomaru has had an abnormally slow start...and I love the series. It's worrisome, but its rankings have been fantastic so I feel like it will at least get a fair shot at increasing its popularity. Kuroko is only comparable if you shift the conversation to "rankings" only because it bottomed out on a regular basis and was hated by nearly everyone on this forum. Haikyuu!! has always done very well.

Haikyuu!!
1st volume - 31,428
2nd volume - 81,413
3rd volume - 123,180(1st week 87,461 -> Hinomaru 27,002)
4th volume - 200,036

Kuroko no Basket
1st volume - Less than 23,987
2nd volume - 38,053
3rd volume - 74,889 (1st week 43,420 -> Hinomaru 27,002)
4th volume - 91,559
5th volume - 97,160
6th volume - 122,479
7th volume - 124,013
.
.
.
17th volume - 184,176 (right before the anime)
18th volume - 523,987(11 weeks in the ranking)

Haikyuu!! had in no way a slow start. It didn't had a big one, like Assassination Classroom, Shokugeki no Soma or My Hero Academia, but it had a pretty fast one.
Kuroko no Basket had slow start, but not really that slow.
Hinomaru Zumou doesn't compare with neither one of the 2. By the the 3rd volume Haikyuu!! was already selling more than 3 time more and Kuroko no Basket 1.6 times more.

I hope Higashide pushes Gakkyu Hotei even higher. Such a hard hitting and relentless story demands top honors in positioning.

The character chosen for the spin-off could be more interesting, but I hope it is good.

If the spin-off trying to Isshiki Satoshi would have been more interesting.
