It seems we get the important character data, SC names ^^^, and more elaboration on HK ranks, like the difference between a high/low rank HK (thank god, finally)

I always noticed Ban's SC was always very ornate, and now that I've got a better look at it it's actually very pretty. I wonder what colors does it have. Escanor's SC is beautiful too, but I wonder if the sections between the Goddesses body and wings are empty?

Hawk's wanted poster is hilarious :D

So I tried to translate the names of the STs
1-Maken Rostuvein (Demon Sword Rostuvein)
2-Seikon Kureshuzu(Saint Gun(staff) Kureshuzu)
3-Kamiono Ritta ( Divine Axe Ritta)
4-Myojo Aldan ( Star Aldan)
5-Reiyari Chastiefol (Spirit Spear Chastiefol)
6-Sen tsushi Gideon (War hammer Gideon)
7-Sōkyū hāritto ( Twin bow Harrit/Herrit)
So the first three are the names of Mel's, Ban's and Escanor's weapons in order. It is confirmed that Aldan is the name of Merlin's ST. As for the proper translation of the names of the weapons, I think Mel's should be Rostvein, Ban's is the most difficult one and I think it should be Kreshus. As for Escanor's it's either Ritta or Litta. The Gun is actually a staff used in chinese martial arts, not to be confused with a revolver lol.

Who could have made these weapons? Meliodas's ST is a Demon Sword, and Escanor's is a Divine Axe?

Maybe a powerful blacksmith. I noticed that all of them kinda fit the nature of the Sins, with Mel wielding a demon sword, and Escanor's weapon has wings on it. Merlin's is pretty intriguing, since it can be translated to star, but also the Morning star. And who is associated with the Morning star? Lucifer.
I think Bartra ordered them to be forged and someone like the druids or some other race like the dwarves that are usually associated with smithing could make such weapons that are said to draw the full potential of the Sins powers.

Hmm, let me take a stab at it:

魔剣 ロストヴェイン = Demon Sword Lost Vein? Lost Vain? Lustvayne (completely made that up)? My quick Japanese google search turned up nothing. Will look into it more when I have time. By process of elimination, Meliodas' Treasure.

聖棍 クレシューズ = Holy Rod(?) Courechouse: In French mythology, Courechouse is King Ban’s sword. The kanji 棍 could mean a range of things from fighting staff, club, to a mace. Traditionally Japanese character for this indicates a staff but given the medieval European setting, I find that unlikely. I’m guessing it’s a nun chuck.

神斧 リッタ = Divine Axe Litta: From Vampires of Edinburgh, pretty sure this is Escanor’s weapon. Litta’s up for debate, as I couldn’t find anything obvious like Courechouse.

明星 アルダン = Radiant Star/Morning Star Aldan: From chapter 114 it’s pretty safe to say this is Merlin’s treasure. Curious as to what other abilities it has. It must have more than just reconnaissance applications.

霊槍 シャスティフォル = Spirit Spear Chastiefol: King’s Treasure.

戦鎚 ギデオン = War Hammer Gideon: Diane’s treasure.

双弓 ハーリット= Twin Bow Herritt (obviously name still up for debate): Gowther’s treasure.

When Ban took Cenette's dagger waaaay back in chapter 13, he mentioned a Weaponsmith "Tarbas." My money's on him. Nakaba doesn't waste a single word.

My original escanor prediction way back was that he was related to the goddess clan. I thought of this because in the flashback his armors knees bear the symbol of two lower case omegas on top of each other. This signifies all encompassing or divine. He also has crosses on his eyes suggesting holiness.

My prediction for his story was that he was ordered by the goddesses to kill Meliodas, the son of the demon king. However, he refused after learning that meliodas was a good person and actually cared about others. Because he refused to fight some other demons killed helpless innocent people during one night. For disobeying the gods, escanor was banished and cursed. His curse was that during the night he would remain in a weak and frail form to remind him of the fear and helplessness experienced by the humans he didn't protect.

Now it is extremely unlikely that my theory is even remotely close to correct, but with all the hints with the divine associated with escanors axe, I can't help but feel I might have been on the right track.

It's been a while since I saw a databook with data that I actually want to see and is actually useful. Can't wait for a full (ish) translation.

I was perusing tumblr for more info and found a fan translation of Merlin's stats.

LOL she respects no one but fears Meliodas.

It's obvious that she is not human now. Maybe she is the child of an Incubus and an human like in the legends.

I also like how escanors age and weight are both "?". Nakaba is basically saying "no, you have to wait until feb 28th to find out what he is!"

So I tried to translate the names of the STs
1-Maken Rostuvein (Demon Sword Rostuvein)
Well Rostu means rooster in Latin. So maybe it is "demon sword roosterblade" :P

Holy cow this stuff is pretty intense if you look at it. Cavillaca even pointed out the stuff he found important.

Merlin and Ban don't want to have Meliodas as an enemy, while Meliodas is wary of Merlin. Diane is scared of Escanor (!!!)

Also, Ban, Diane, and Mels age has been revealed. Ban was 23 when he met Elaine, so it makes him 43 now (no wonder he takes no interest in Jericho :P). Diane is... around 750 years old, so that means she was really goddamn young when she bumped into King. (It also explains her giant shift of appearance in just 150-200 years). Meliodas is said to be "over 3000 years old?"

The person who Diane respects is Matrona, so it seems that another name beyond the blacksmith is gaining significance. (There's no mention of Zhivago, Ban's old friend, thou >.> This guy bugs me too, especially that he was the one who told Ban of the Fairy forest and the Fountain and its guardian, and also that they used to be in jail together.)

This is some awesome stuff. Going by the ages, Diane was only 50 or so when she met King. I like seeing the people the Sins don't want to face off against. I wonder if it's a fear thing or a disadvantage things. Diane preferring not to go against Escanor is pretty interesting. It's hinted that he is physically strong, but strong enough physically to make Diane want to not fight him? That's...something. I wonder if there is something else about his power as well. Ban not wanting to fight Mel makes sense as Mel can nullify his immortality. Mel and Merlin not wanting to fight each other is also interesting. Looks like King also doesn't want to go against Escanor.

The rankings are pretty intersting. I assume Helbram's actual rank is Crystal now, instead of Cardinal? I also like how Platinum is the only metal rank on the list, lol. All the Sins being Diamond Rank is pretty interesting. Given their strength, I'm sure they could be the GHK in any Kingdom they wanted.

It is worth noting that Mel's bio says Demon clan but followed with a question mark. So it's possible that it's not just demon clan, and as many of us guessed he's a hybrid, because why have a question mark there as if they weren't sure? Also if the demons were sealed 3000 years ago, it would make sense that Mel was around back then, so he must be more than 3000 yo,or else how can we explain that the other demons know him? I'm curious how he's still alive, given that the demons say that they would have died 3 times already if it weren't for them being sealed away. Maybe being a hybrid grants more power than being a full blood demon, kinda like Dante from DMC.
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Matrona was some kind of mother figure to Diane, but I wonder when she met that person, before she met King or after he left her.I'm surprised she's afraid of Escanor, much like King, so maybe he did something to them when they first met him.
Merlin is really suspicious, we basically know nothing about her.

Just noticed that we don't have the Eye of Balor stats present. Kind of surprised and a little peeved.

Thing with Matrona is very interesting seeing that's the name of a Celtic Goddess.

Same with Merlin.
Arthurian one's father was a fiend.
And her freaking Sacred Treasure is MORNING STAR.
Religious fun fact.
Morning Star is another name for not just anyone but THE biblical Lucifer.

Really looking forward to Escanor if he can apparently scare King and Diane.

Lastly:
Merlin and Mel don't want each other as enemies?
Wondering if that also implies they see each other as equals.

hmm what did esky do to make the "non-humans" (I use this term loosely cuz technically none of the sins are human) afraid of him

interesting

Can the first part in Mel's sword be "Rust"? If you look at it the dagger's edge is kinda dark, like if it was covered in rust. Also Mel using a rusty sword wouldn 't be too far fetched since he says that he doesn't like to use a sword(and the other one was broken too). As for the last part it looks to me that it could be Vein, but is it possible for it to be actually "bane"? So the full name could be Rustbane.Just trying to make some sense from it :p
I don't think Nakaba is going for historical accuracy while coming up with the names, so having a staff as a weapon isn't that weird, and it looks to me that Ban's weapon is a three section staff, while a nunchaku has two sections. Also it's possible that Ban can switch between a form with only one section (whole length) to a three section form. I would be impressed if his weapon could do that.

If it were "Rust," the Japanese should be ラスト I think. In the same idea, "bane" should be ベイン. I won't rule out Rust completely, but ヴァ specifically indicates a "v" sound as opposed to "b."

I just got home from work, and can finally look at the images on the first post (work internet blocks random images for some reason). I didn't realize that the images included pictures of the sacred treasures and you're right, Courechouse looks like a segmented staff.

We have another semi-confirmation that appears legit as it was pointed out to me by a friend: 神斧 リッタ = Divine Axe Rhitta: Rhitta is a giant in Celtic folklore. Makes sense to me. See this link: http://www.celtnet.org.uk/legends/rhith_gawr.html
