Because サラダ = Salada = Salad, all of them has the same meaning. However, the Etymology of the word comes from Portuguese, not from English.
http://beta.jisho.org/search/サラダ
http://tangorin.com/general/サラダ
Two dictionaries to prove my point.

Sure... It will be funny seeing what Panini will do when they translate this spin-off. :XD

Isn't it Naruto spin-off? It will be a great surprise. :p
And the funny thing is that whatever Panini put, Sarada (person with definied body), Salad (food, in English) or Salada (food), it is strange to us anyway xD

Cheer up Jagman. With both Sharkbait and Viz putting their money on this it means it'll get cancelled that much faster. I mean what was the last new serial launched through this Jump start program that actually succeeded? Really you'd think people would be hoping that new series wouldn't get picked up with such an impressive lineage.

To be honest; I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think that both Kagamigami and Black Clover can survive.
Both have gotten good reception online and have fanbases already building at a level that most Jump fodder don't get.
I mean there have been several times in the past, where a serialization batch has brought on more than one successful series.
For example Seikimatsu Leader-den Takeshi and One Piece were both in same serialization batch.
As was Whistle and Hunter x Hunter.
And Death Note and Gintama
Katekyo Hitman Reborn and D.Gray-man
Bakuman and Inumarudashii

With this batch I really don't think it's a stretch that more than 2 series survive. The closest round will probably consist of 2 series and since one of them is a mini-series that would make it a very small round with an extra series saved since Naruto will not even be ranke probably. As unlikely as it would sound, what would be the chances of some of the larger series ending in 20 chapters?

Gintama will probably end within 20 chapters. It's seeming pretty endgame right now.
AssClass could possibly end within 20 chapters, but that might be rushing it a tad.
Bleach's pace has been picking up a lot but it probably has another year left and won't be able to wrap up properly in 20 years. Especially now that Aizen is back again.
Nisekoi could end within 20 chapters if the popularity of Kagamigami and Black Clover cause it collapse even further in the rankings.
Toriko could be in a simiar boat to Nisekoi if its rankings continue to get worse, but I think that due to its length Jump would give it longer to wrap up.

The only of the four that I think has no chance is Roggy. It's not a bad series but lacks many of the elements that Shonen Jump want. In other magazine maybe it had more future.

Question: Gakkyuu Houtei took how long to join the Viz's Jump? I don't remember.

It was serialized immediately.

Oh man Black Clover being serialized in ESJ is great if only for the people making sour faces in the thread. I have no idea how long it'll last but its kind of amusing in a guilty pleasure sort of way.

And nice fanart, @SharkBait!

Speaking of fanart, last time I checked pixiv there was barely any for Kagamigami and I actually enjoy it the best out of the four newcomers. Roggy had the most, which was surprising.

Yeah, I just checked it and Roggy is by far the one that has the most fanarts. I don't know if that is really correlated to the series' actual popularity, but I kinda hope it is because it's my favorite series out of this batch. Roggy is such an awesome MC, I would read the series just for him. The art is really impressive as well, considering it's the author's first serialized work.

From what I read of Black Clover, its pretty meh. It literally doesn't bring anything to the table besides a reused formula that we have already seen. Looking at the raws, I guess things are getting better? But for right now its just a pile of meh

Haven't seen any translations of Roggy yet so I dunno about how good it is. UBS was pretty fun with its straight forward streetfighter battle shounen idea, Kagamigami has a nice set of MCs as well as an intriguing start with the guardian doll being destroyed and the world in ruins while it starts to tell its tale and Black Clover is pretty okay, though it didn't excited me so much so far. Then again I have only read its first chapter and not seen the raw of chapter 2+, so it probably has good reason why it was picked by ESJ.

@Rica_Patin

You really think any of those mangas might end in 20 chapters? I dunno, I can't see any of them ending in the next 40 or even 50 chapters though in some cases like Gintama that's the fan speaking in me. xD
Also Bleach might stay with us for the next 2-3 years at this kinda pacing with twenty chapters to climb a tower to get tossed down of it in one chapter and then be like forgotten for the next ten chapters before they climb the tower again to reach its top in twentysomething chapters.^^;

At least one can immediately point out why Date-senpai or Sporting Salt are bad.

Bland Clover, on the other hand, just overwhelms you with complete, utter indifference.

Here is my thoughts on this batch:

Kagamigami: Meh, the little fox thingy gives me Reborn vibes & by that I mean super annoying, also I'm not a fan of the MC turning into Kokkuri-san when he powers-up
Black Clover: Bland, boring, predictable .........
Cyborg Roggy: Mediocre Gintama/Deadpool & not nearly as funny
UBS: Reminds me of Street Fighters, Tekken & other arcade fighting games, a fight after fight after fight " You won!" "here is another challengers!"

I'm thrilled to see tabata-sensei receiving his well deserved chance at wsj. I do agree that Black Clover still lacks that "thing" that mangas like One Piece and Hunter x Hunter have, but let's see how it will unfold.

Special thanks to all retarded brazilians that knows NOTHING about manga and criticized this great author and his work.

Black clover & Hungry Joker are nothing special, so I wouldn't call Tabata a great author just yet

His drawing style is cool & unique though, so I'll give him that

Hungry Joker was just straight up bad.
Black Clover isn't necessarily bad, but it's very very generic and cliched.
I feel it has some potential though.

I agree about HJ, I was just being nice :P

I disagree about BC potential, I've been following it through raws & a huge dictionary, it just keep being more & more generic

What are you talking about? BLack Clover is written by a alchemist of fantasy storytelling. How can you not give the author kudos, accolades, and encomium?
