It seems that the second episode of the anime gave a bigger boost in Shokugeki no Soma sales. Volume 1 appears in 78th place in Sunday ranking. Now all the volumes are between 78th and 122nd, excluding volume 11 and 12, of course.
It is still weaker than Owari no Seraph, but it is getting there...

How many chapters the series have? After it went to Jump NEXT, it didn't gather material that much since it is bi-monthly...

There's still the 50+ chapters it amassed while running in Weekly Jump.
That should be enough material for a one season anime or drama.

I know, it didn't have enough material when it left Jump and didn't gather much in Jump Next, that was what I meant. Normally they don't make an anime/drama with just 50+ chapters published.
