Even if it's way too early, the three new series seem like a future flunk to me. Good news for Kamigakami and Black Clover fans.

Had hope for Lady Justice since I wasn't remembering seeing the oneshot, but it isn't appealing much to me.

Lady Justice oneshot - http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3075430449
Devilyman oneshot - http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3211707148

I won't even bother looking for the first, as it looks waaay too out of my taste. Black Clover, Kagamigami, Roggy & UBS looked so much more interesting and were quite good.
lady justice seems too grimdark and mature and the random panty shot didnt help.

People really like to jump to the conclusions here, with Black Cover success as well as with the sucess of series they saw pictures measuring centimeters that don't have anything about the plot.

What do you mean? BLack Clover had all the markings of a successful series upon its first preview pic, and then upon debut its execution enabled it to, like predicted, be a success.

Two good positions doesn't prove anything, as many people said here, there were series that started well and then flopped. I'm just saying that a more cautious behavior would be preferable.

How many good positions is good enough, 2, 5, 10, a years worth. I hope people wont be saying we need to be cautious a year from now, worst another repeat of WT where people are still being cautious about it even at its 100th chapter :/

If it continues in the top 5 for more weeks and have good sales in the first volume, you can prove your point, for now there is no reason to go yelling "it is a great success, the masterpiece of the century!". Kurogane started well and gradually lost positions, it took more than one year to fall.

Speaking of World Trigger, they will commemorate this year anniversary next year? :lmao

From what I read of that Lady Justice manga, it's basically an ecchi manga with a superhero theme. Half the pages were about the female lead's clothes exploding and about her being embarrassed that her panties were stolen.

I feel like you definitely CAN make a likable and relatable female protagonist that would work for a male demographic. Just usually it goes pretty badly and they just go for ecchi when it comes to manga. That kind of "best girl" "waifu" thing is more popular, so that kinda gets done way more of the time.

So Naruto's new short series starts next week and it doesn't even have the cover?

Hero Mask is the definitive hero manga with males and females. If only more people read it. Lady Justice wont even come close.

Pretty bad it seems... Ecchi with good story can be good, but just ecchi is bad... :hmm

It is possible, but hard without Ecchi involved. Guys will not identify with a female protagonists that much, they may not find interesting enough and abandon the series. An identification with the series is very important. Since it is hard to make guys identify with "normal" female MCs, ecchi is pratically the unique alternative.
I don't think that it is necessary nor unnecessary, I'm indifferent. As long as the characters and the story is good, I will read it.

Why it should? It is just a short series, no matter the mangaka.

Lady Justice concept actually seems pretty funny. The issue is the art doesn't really match it IMO...well based on what I can tell anyways. The art has a bit of promise but looks sort of awkward and rough. The preview is small but it looks like it might have changed a bit...? Kind of hard to tell.

Yeah, the sales of BC's first volume might show if it gonna stay a year or longer. Because given the new batch it surely will be around for far more than just 30+ chapters. That said I always liked demons so a business comedy type of demonhood could be fun if done right, the one-shot is missing a lot of impact for that. The other OS got that impact but that's sort of it. Well, at least this means WT is safe for like the next two years at this rate of newcomer quality.

Pretty sad we got no CPs for WT in the next couple issues, so no anniversary for WT this year it seems. Might be a punishment for the many times missed last year?

I looked at the preview and at the oneshots of Lady Justice and of Devilyman, I'm think I'm just going to check the Naruto Gaiden and that series starting in issue 24 (design looks nice). Other than that, I think the series starting in 25 and 26 are pretty much goners.

We don't know anything about the new batch, even oneshots are not realiable since it can change drastically in the serialization (Hungry Joker speaks for itseilf).

The reason is priority. In the past weeks, Jump had to advertise 3 animes from its own series and two from Jump SQ. Then, a new batch has to start now and so on... Let's face the reality, World Trigger will not grow much more than this so the priority is low. When they have space, they will give a cover and Lead CP to it.

I was thinking the writer is probably to busy too give a CP :/. Never forget those WT sketchy moments in a chapter.

Sigh. Its a shame about the ecchi. I think its ok for series to have ecchi, but I also wish we could have female leads that aren't exploited like that. Or I dunno, have something more to offer? I looked at the oneshot and its awfully gimmicky, plus the art left a lot to be desired. It kind of reminds me of the first part of Kill la Kill, where Ryuko is too embarrassed to wear Senketsu. I'm still going to try and read it, also the dancing manga.

Y'know, I'd say series like BnHA are becoming successful because they have a more balanced cast between boys and girls, among its other good points. So if there was a series that had the sensibility of BnHA, and a female lead, I see no reason why it can't be successful in Jump.

In chapter 9 we got the blonde character in the cover page and his shikigami and his relationship with the hero is just what you said was missing in the manga for you after reading the first 3 chapters. Iwashiro usually plays character introduction/world building very fundementally after the first big challange as was in his last 2 mangas so I expect that until 5 chapters from now the basis of the manga will give you enough information to judge wether it is for you or not.
