First I dont think you should really make my statement seem like I was saying it will not be good or famous...Odd does not equal "bad". And sorry but I think there is a huge difference between a dance manga and a sport manga and a cooking manga in which you can describe foods in great detail with words (food wars chapters get pretty wordy and food isnt moving), and a sport manga in which players can at least remain stationary and tricks with visuals like he does in Haikyuu!! be done to the ball to show its movement (but he never does that with players bodies, etc)Yeah, totally.
Like sport and battle manga without moviment. Or music manga without sound. Or cooking manga without taste and smell. These kind of manga are odd, and will never be good, never be famous.
Manga should stick only with stories that doesn't require any of that. Like... no story ever.
Additionally didnt one music manga at least provide what the music would sound like online? Clearly the writer thought the experience would be greatly enhanced if people could hear what it sounds like. And at times in Soul Catcher(s) you could just go online to try to find a clip of how a band would sound playing the songs, though it was challenging at times...
The reason I said a "hard sale" is that some readers probably will express the same concerns I have about a dance manga that would need visual cues as well as musical cues. I doubt most mainstream readers will give it as big a chance as people are imagining it to be. Using the currently airing Tribecoolcrew as an example, I honestly cant imagine how you would mangaize something like . I also dont see how the minor differences and mistakes in the music playing of something like Your Lie In April were able to be achieved in the manga, and only the manga, of that series...
